YES emails and photos too. You can only send maximum of 20 photos and emails /phones/chats= 10 pages max it is in the guide as well. They will shred/ignore extra unwanted records, so try to send quality rather than quantity :)And make it a joint application from Sponsor =your wife+PA you. OK?

Hello Seniors,

I am in urgent need of some help regarding my wife parents documents. In her passport and our marriage certificate and in invitation card her mother 's name has given name and surname. But in her mother's ID proof it only has given name, in this case should she put in her application mothers given name under surname field??

Also does CIC ask for ID proof or address proof of her parents by any chance?
N.B: In all our supporting documents parents given name and surname are consistent
I haven't vast knowledge but whole information should be same in all documents.

Guys Please advice

I am perminantresident of Canada and I am trying to apply PR for my wife. Before marriage I applied visitor visa for her and later I got married her. at that time I gave the invitation to her as cousin (cross cousin) for visitor visa and claimed as finacial supporter for travel. But the visitor visa was rejected saying that not given proper reason to coming to canada. Now I decided to apply PR for her as a sponcer, will that VISA rejection effect on her PR application. I really appriciate your valuble suggestions.

You cannot be collecting social assistance (welfare) as a sponsor.

Who can’t become a sponsor

You can’t be a sponsor if you:

  • have failed to pay:
    • an immigration loan
    • a performance bond
    • family support payments
  • have failed to provide for the basic needs of a previously-sponsored relative who received social assistance
  • are under a removal order
  • are in a penitentiary, jail, reformatory or prison
  • receive social assistance for a reason other than a disability
  • are still going through the process of bankruptcy (undischarged bankruptcy)
  • were sponsored by a spouse or partner and you became a permanent resident less than five years ago
  • sponsored a previous spouse or partner and three years have not passed since this person became a permanent resident
  • have already applied to sponsor your current spouse, partner or child and a decision on your application hasn’t been made yet
  • were convicted of a violent or sexual offence, or an offence that caused bodily harm to a relative—or you attempted or threatened to commit any of these offences

Not sure if anything is different as a protected person, but it's nothing new that as a sponsor you can't be collecting welfare.
