Hi guys just want to ask if do i still need to attach or send with my application package those forms that are "not applicable" for me like the Use of a Representative form and Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union form..

Thank you :) ;) :D
No, if they're not applicable, don't include them.

I received letter from ABU DHABI embassy stating that my wife's application is nearing finalisation. I hiave to submit the following in 30 days

1) Any change in family
2) My wife's passports
3) 2 Passport size pics

I have two kids who already have Canadian citizenship (because I'm Canadian). My third baby, born in October 2015 in New York, USA was not born at the time of application. What should I do now, my son is American citizen by birth and I haven't applied for his proof of Canadian citizenship. What are my options going forward, What should I send regarding my baby (Passport, Birth Certificate etc,)? Will this delay my wife's sponsorship period?

Also, if I dont inform the embassy of my 3rd baby (to avoid delays for my wife's visa stamping), will there be any issues once my wife and kids are here with me in Canada and I apply for my son's proof of citizenship then?

You MUST inform the VO of the child's birth. Not doing so is misrepresentation. It will not delay your wife's app, as the child is Canadian and doesn't need to be included. Send the birth certificate and explain you will be applying for the child's Certificate of Citizenship.

Also, it isn't smart to wait to apply for the child's Certificate of Citizenship. You may face issues with things like healthcare in Canada without proof of citizenship.

For anyone who has used myCIC for other kinds of applications, what are the pros compared to eCAS? (Asking because spousal applications can be viewed on myCIC in 3 days time).

Is it more reliable? More up-to-date? Does it provide more information like ability to view correspondence sent by CIC? Does it give more detailed status of application? Anything else?

For me it was no better as it went from open to decision made all at the same time. No in between steps and no extra information. At this point I do not see that it will be much better unless it updates quicker.

Hi,
Hope you are good. I have a query i live in Canada on PR. My baby is born here last year. And my husband is in Pakistan and serving Navy as government officer. The problem is he requested for resign from Navy and they are not giving permission for resign and I cant apply for his sponsership until he get his resign. I applied for visit visa when my baby was born in january 2015 but Canada refused his visit visa. Can you plz help me out in this situation do I try for visit visa again? And do canada will ask me why m not sponsoring him.

thanks alot.

This is only my opinion, but I'm inclined to think if they refused your husband's Visitor Visa there's no reason they will change their mind about that unless the circumstances change. Does the Canada Immigration accept Pakistani military officers as visitors to our country? I don't know.
They would certainly look closely at all the circumstances involved regarding your husband's role in the military. The first thing and perhaps the only thing you can do is look speficially for threads regarding visitors / immigrants who were Pakistani military. He's not retired so this might be a block to getting permanent resident, and if he's believed to be a high ranking officer or involved in intelligence work his role / rank may be an absolute bar to being allowed to even visit.

Hi I got a question. I am a permanent resident of Canada and planning to sponsor my spouse from the Philippines. Now, I am thinking of studying and getting a student loan. Am I still eligible to sponsor my spouse even I do have a student loan and will just have a part time job? Thanks!

hello everyone,

Just a quick question, i am applying for my wife for spousal family sponsorship for Canada, I am attaching about 100 of photographs of our marriage. is it necessary or advisable to write the names of the people and their relationship with the principal applicant on the back of each photograph.

Please and thank you.

Please don't post the same exact question in multiple threads. It's considered spam and rude. I answered your question in another thread.

Hello I'm a Canadian who is sponsoring my husband who is Indian. We just sent the application on May 2nd 2016. How long should I wait to receive an initial confirmation from Cic?

You might get AOR around 14-30 days. I got mine at 22 days but some have had theirs take longer and some shorter. AOR is an "official" receipt of your application. Sponsorship Approval comes next and it should take 35-45 days, however, there are plenty of people over the official processing time (40 days) and just a few people who have gotten theirs at around 35 days. I'm at 47 days and no SA.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply! When u say sponsorship approval comes next around 35-45 days that means from the day you had sent the application? Or does that mean after receiving the AOR? Just to clarify! :)
