I must to correct this. I have called to CIC twice because getting wrong information from this forum. With IEC you get implied status as well. No difference. That is what they answered to me.

You can get implied status as a visitor, but you cannot continue to work.

I've a question related to medical examination for spousal sponsorship :

What if the the sponsored person wants to send his/her medical examination report with application package? Can they sent that? because as per my understanding, we need to have a medical request paper from CIC in order to get the appointment with any designated/CIC approved doctor? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Urgent response will be appreciated.

For outland applicants, it is recommended that you do it upfront.

Hi guys,

Can anyone give me any idea about when VO requested for re-medical. Do they requested for re-medical before DM or after DM? My medical has been expired on this march. My Both SA and PR ecas status shows "in process" since Dec 2015.

I was asked for a re medical in February and asked this same question. I was told the final decision of your visa will be based on the medical, and must be valid... It is the last thing they look at for PR.

I sent our remed on February 18, and on March 14 I got COPR... A friend of mine sent her remed on February 20, and got COPR within one week. Have you been requested to do the remed yet?

Did you add your wife to your application before you landed in Canada in February? Was she medically examined as part of your application and did she provide police certificates? If the answers to these questions is no - then you can never sponsor her. It was mandatory that you add your wife to your application before landing. Since you failed to do so, she is no longer classified as a member of your family and can never be sponsored.

^does this rule of "not able to sponsor" apply to the sponsored spouse's parents or siblings too for the future? :) like does this mean the sponsored PR can't sponsor their parents/siblings in the future cause i clearly didnt add anyone to be "his family" on my husband's app but him & myself(sponsor, duh) & we have no kids yet so.

P.S. i know very well that the form did specify that any "family members" not added here cant be sponsored in the future - but in those forms didnt "family members" just mean dependants/kids etc?
lol, idk im kinda answering my own question here but just want a little bit of clarification. :D

Only applies to dependants.
