Spousal sponsorship

Just a quick question, I now its not specifically to the spousal sponsorship but I didnt wanna open a new thread just for that:

I need to hand in both my birth certificate as well as the police check from my home country, right?
Since both of them are not in English, id need to get them translated.
Does CIC have any special requirements as to who is eligible to translate the documents?
Or could I technically translate them myself or from an english teacher for example and have the translation certified by a notary?

Also, since Ive already been to Canada on a Working Holiday Visa for a year, do I need to hand in a police check from Canada too?

Hello everyone, I am 13 April 2015 applicant, still we did not received any e mail from cic,but when my wife ecas check with fill her PR number, then show there, file received on 13 April and we started processing on 6 May, now my question is it is possible they can send us SA directly without AOR ? I've tried on several other topics but havent really received too many responses so I may just as well try here:

Does anyone have any experience in submitting/picking up their passports in person (for PR stamping?), especially at the Vienna office? The email offers only mailing options and I've contacted the embassy but it always takes a long time for them to respond - I would really appreciate if anyone has recently did their passport stamping in person - did you arrange a time, just show up, was it done the same day etc. I would really like to utilize my upcoming business trip to do this in person and avoid couriers et al.

Yes it is.
Check your spam folder as well.
Double check your forms and see if the email address is correct too.

I am a Canadian Pakistan.
I sponsored my wife in 2012 and to day she was interviewed after a longest time in Canadian high commission Islamabad Pakistan.
during this case, I happened to prey bad incident of unluckily marring to another female who was black mailer and just engaged me like i am being Canadian immigration and my wealth.
now she sent a complained to Canadian high commission as being my wife and visa officer asked for the her status.she was married to me in October 2013 and divorced Islamic way in April 2014.
My present wife who is mother of three kids they are also Canadian by the reasons of being i am father. are upset.what reply should i give to visa officer as she asked for documents or court matters if they are with ex wife who complained against me ,What reply in writing(with documents) should, I send to Canada high commission and is it ok my spouse case may get visa? please help me out as what sort of documents can get my case confirmed and should i send without asking visa officer upfront.

if its expired he's no longer deemed a Canadian PR, and without that status cannot sponsor you. It would be like me a canadian in the UK and visa expired trying to sponsor my daughter. What do you think outcome would be?

That depends on whether he meets the RO or not. If he doesn't, then trying to sponsor you would put his PR status in jeopardy.

This is incorrect information and bad advice. An expired PR card doesn't mean that someone is no longer a Canadian PR or that they can't sponsor someone. As MilesAways said, they key question is whether he meets the residency requirement for PR or not. If he does - he can sponsor. If he doesn't - then he can't.

If you are unable to land by the expiry date on the visa and COPR, then yes, unfortunately, you must apply and start over again.

Hi I think you misunderstood. My question was related to the child. COPR expiry is usually 1 year from the previous medical which is she is doing on June 3rd 2015 that is not the point. My question is after she gets her COPR but couldn't travel and child is born, can she add it to her application as a dependent.?? or we have to apply all over again for the child.??

Hi I think you misunderstood. My question was related to the child. COPR expiry is usually 1 year from the previous medical which is she is doing on June 3rd 2015 that is not the point. My question is after she gets her COPR but couldn't travel and child is born, can she add it to her application as a dependent.?? or we have to apply all over again for the child.??

You can add the newborn child to the current application. She will have to return the COPR and redo the forms with a cover letter explaining the birth of the child and that you're adding him/her as a dependent who is accompanying.
