Hi All,

I have a question regarding Inland application form 1344(Application to sponsor)..What is co-signer in this application?

They said it must be spouse or conjugal partner. so should i checked this or not? its confusing?

Thanks

It does not apply to you if you are sponsoring your spouse.

As far as I know, NDVO does not contact you as soon as they get your PR application. They start processing and at a later stage will contact you if necessary.

Hi Leon,
I have a question...hope u could help me ....my question is I have sponsored my hubby on Spousal sponsorship...till now he have got our passport but he did not got landing papers yet...so can I know how long does it takes. Passport is already been PR stamped..its been a week and three days passport has arrived.

Does not landing paper or CONFIRMATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE (COPR) come along with passport itself?

Thanks.

The COPR should be with the passport if he has already gotten the passport with the immigrant visa. Contact the VO urgently, they may have forgotten to include it.

Please I need urgent help.I passed my medical exam for cnadian spousal examination in feburary this year. But after that i had to renew my passport so that the status on my passport had to be changed to "married".Is my medical still valid or would i have to undertake the medical exam again on my new passport.
My previous medical exam was on a valid passport. The only change in that passport is that its status is changed to married.
so im worried that i may have to undertake the medical exam again.plz help.I have not yet submitted my forms to the canadian embassy and im worried that passing the exam again will delay my process.

Hi it is not advised that you change your passport status.as long as there is marriage certificate along with your application everything is fine....I've been married for 3 yrs and already here in canada 2 yrs still I'm holding my passport with single status.

Hi Everyone,

Regarding IMM 5406 (Additional Family Information).. In checklist it says this form is completed by principal applicant but when I see the form guide
it says
This form must be completed by:

You, as the principal applicant,
Your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
Your dependent children aged 18 or over (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).

Please clarify..

It's quite easy. If you haven't visited each other, choose no, and write why.
If neither of you visited the other, then the VO might have some doubts about the relationship. Did you get married the first time you met?

If you are only sponsoring your spouse, then only the person being sponsored completes it. For the purpose of the application, the sponsor is not your spouse (in terms of the documents, where it says "your spouse must complete this form", the sponsor does not have to complete that form.)

Nope we where friends b4 we started dating and later got married after about 3 years

So if you were friends and then dated, how did you do so without seeing or visiting each other?
