hey there, hope someone can help me here. I received my ppr from my VO which is Senegal and I reside in Canada on study permit, but I am asked to redo the medical and provide the police clearance from the countries I have lived more than 6months the problem is I try my parents to get them for me but the police request my presence which mean I will have to travel to those countries and get the police clearance. My question is what should I do and if that happened to anyone how did you deal with it.

Re: Spousal sponsorship rejection on PWD?

Hi my wife and I have been married a yr I have just been refused to sponsor because CIC says Im collecting assistance more than disability and Im on just PWD here in BC. I have called my employment office and they are putting a short letter together to state what my allowance is for. My question is will that be enough for CIC in Mississauga and should I figure our application is off to the Philippines already and send a letter there too?

In your application, what did you say to do with the application if sponsorship was refused? If you said "discontinue" they will refund $475 and your application is terminated. If you said "continue" they will forward it to the visa office. Unless you can convince the VO to change the sponsorship decision, you will need to wait until they finish processing the application and can then appeal to the IAD.

Hello! I need some help, Can any of you answer the following questions:
1)Is PR card request made at the moment of landing?
2)If the sponsored wife moves with the sponsor husband to another country, the 2 years in 5 rule to not lose the PR doesnt apply, right? Who should we inform about the move?
3) If I move with my husband away from canada, I dont need to apply for SIN or health coverage, right?

1) Yes
2) As long as the sponsor is a Canadian citizen, then yes.
3) Correct

Thanks Scylla. That was very helpful. Any idea who we should have to inform about our move?

There's no one to inform.

is there anyone on here that applied for spousal and file was recived at cic-m in nov 4 2013 ? my problem is that they haven't processed my file yet which should take no longer than 30 days but my file has been there for 41 days ??? any info will be helpful, thanks :) case is in Mississauga.

Is it a problem if I cannot find my current Notice of Assessment from Rev Canada? Can I use something else instead like a copy of the assessment from where I had my taxes done? Time is short and it would take over 10 days to get that by mail from the Gov't.

that what I did ,I got my assessment and tax papers from my accountant and hand them in and no problems yet. I know you can also get them on line, don't know what site but I know you can. ask your accountant for the website, googdluck :)

Another question...the forms for "Additional Family Information" - my spouse and I each have to fill one out according to the directions. His is easy, but am not sure how to do mine. On mine, do I leave the applicant part blank and just start from Spouse section?

That form is not filled in by the sponsor. For everyone else, the "applicant" is the person filling out the form and all the fields are relative to that person.

AOR means Acknowlegement of Receipt. So the email you got is that. It means we received the application.
