Re: Medicals udpate

Hey Guys!
My timeline is here:
Medicals done: 28 Jan
Appication sent: 01 Feb
Sponsorship approval: 26 Feb
PPR: 16 Mar
Passport sent: 17 Mar

I see that some folks who have applied after my date at New Delhi VO have their medical status updated (medicals received).
In my case, when I check online (using the client ID for both sponsort & the applicant) it just says 'Application Received' and the medical status is not yet updated.
How can i make sure if the medical report I have sent to New Delhi wasn't misplaced or not properly received?
I checked with the panel physician where my wife had done the medicals and they verified that they have sent all the medicals till date.
I'm concerned and not interested in hearing that ND VO has lost my medicals after 6 months and then I have to wait for 3 extra months for the medicals to be sent again. I aprpeciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks! And goodluck to everyone!
Namachii

wow that is a real fast timeline. what's the secret?

NDVO requests the passport early in the process.

Hello guys,

Is there a possibility that even if your passport has been requested by CEM you can still be denied? :(

Hello i was wondering if anyone in here knows how long after you send your application and they received it can you check the status online? I send mine on march 26 2013 and they received it on march 27 2013 but still i cant find anything online :/

Hi Everyone, I'm kinda new to all this...I married the love of my life, a Canadian, on 12-1-11, we submitted our application and it got accepted on October 25th, 2012, everything has gone through, and just recently the CIC requested the ROLF and our orginal marriage certificate. My son is also immigrating with us. Is there anything I should expect or prepare for? We have a immigration lawyer in Winnipeg where my husband is from.

Also let us know which Visa Office you applied to if you applied Outland.

As far as your son - hopefully you submitted the correct custody papers and/or death certificate for his other parent.

The VOs seem like a giant hot mess....and not necessarily in the good way sometimes. For some people, they're awesome. For others, it's a nightmare.

yes that is true amikaty, i read on other forum how this guy was approved on 2.5 weeks here in canada, and they send the application which was received in cuba on december 10,and on Feb 21 his wife got her visa, he was so lucky but not everyone runs with the same luck

@Amikety
As u can see I submitted my application last October and I am awaiting AIP.This morning I spoke with CIC and the agent said I'm not yet approved for 1st stage but they're doing my criminal and background checks. Isn't criminal check for stage 2? Why are they doing it now?

They process Inland and Outland applications differently.

In order to give the open work permit to you, they need to do a basic background check first. They do a more thorough check in Stage 2.

Our application is in Mississauga, at least that's where the letter came from that they received our application, otherwise I don't know where its at, I just do whatever the lawyers want us to do. I had my custody redone before we put the paperwork in, I have full physical custody of my son with shared legal with his father, but in the new custody it says we are permitted to live in Manitoba, Canada. I also applied as out land, my husband works a 2 week on 2 week off schedule so he comes for a week or so every month. It would be too hard to apply as inland, cause of my son being in school.

Mississauga is where all the applications go for sponsor approval. What country are you from? Where would you have to go if they call you for an interview?

I would strongly encourage you to learn more about the process. I've met several lawyers that didn't know squat and knowledge is your best defense ;)
