I got an imp Ques?

Do embassies hold the visa that is already requested over travels done after applications received ?( maybe need more security screening cause of the travel to some countries? )

we have been to Iraq a month ago 4 a week , to visit holy places , I 'm afraid by the time they ask us for passport request, they do more screening and send us back empty handed.

thanx

My wife and I have finally completed our applications for sponsorship and PR, have paid our fees and want to send it in to Mississauga. Any opinions on how to send it in...regular mail versus priority post? Appreciate answers soon thanks.

If you are sending it from outside Canada International Priority Post is ok. From within Canada Canada Post XpressPost is the fastest and cheapest.

I'd send it by the popular mail couriers; that is either UPS or FedEx. But whichever service you use ensure you get a tracking number so you can view its progress in transit to delivery

Hi All,

I've been reading up on the posts and want to thank everyone for their input. This application process is much more complex then I thought and it's great to have forum where people that have past experience can help educate those of us who haven't been down that road!

For now, I have a couple questions I'd like to run by anyone who knows. First I'll briefly explain my situation. I am Canadian, my wife is Korean. We've been living in Korea since end of August are putting together the paperwork for her to be a PR in Canada. I think I have most of the basic forms figured out, but the most problematic form is the last one form 3907E.

Hey, I'm also in Korea and doing PR for Korean wife. Lets help each other with this!

1. In providing detailed information to prove our relationship is genuine, I can show numerous emails we have sent over the years, but do those emails need to be certified by someone or can I print them off my email account and turn them in as is (with the dates and stuff) ??

2. My wife and I met in China, and before marrying I did travel to Korea and she traveled to Canada so I figured it would be good to show the copies of the stamps in our passports showing we have been abroad together. Do I also need to get these copies "certified" by someone, or can I just copy them myself and turn them in with our application?

3. The police station here says the form is only in Korean, but the example on the visa website has an English version. Do we need to have that document translated into English if they don't provide English copies?

4. My wife and I met in China and lived there for more than 6 months.. are we actually expected to get a police background check from China, and if so, how would we do so??

Thanks in advance for reply. I will have more questions to come in the future :)

Hi. Right now my wife is going to go for the medical checkup ( I am sponsoring her) but she is pregnant now. Because they won't be able to do the chest X-ray will she be required to get another medical after the baby? basically, I just want to know if we should switch our appointment till after the baby is born instead of doing the physical checkup twice.... Does anyone have any experience with this situation??

Thanks in advance

Anyone?????

I have a question if anyone can help. Can I get a humanitarian visa for my wife of 5 years from outside Canada? If not what are my best options? I can't sponsor her because I don't have the required $24,000 income tax form to show. I do have work permits and pay stubs from within Thailand. I'm having a hard time deciding the best course of action to get her there. My two children I have with her did get their Canadian Citizenship so I'm not worried about them. It's just the wife. How can I get her to Canada?
Thanks

You can sponsor her even if you don't make 24000 a year. There is no certain income requirement for spouses. As long as you make enough that you wont end up on welfare and your wife can work too, especially if you show that she speaks English.

Agreed. There are no minimum income requirements to sponsor your wife.

My husband has been asking the assistance of his local MP for the process of our application, but now he moved to a different house and the Mp we had is no longer our MP can we still continue to ask assistance from our former MP since they already have our files or do we have to seek the help of our new MP. Do they even charge if they are no longer your MP?

From what i've read here, you would still proceed with the medical before submitting your application, and they will do everything EXCEPT the x-ray. You will send in medical results as usual with your app, but there will be a note saying you need to wait to do x-ray due to pregnancy.

Then after baby is delivered, the x-ray can be done to complete medical portion of application and you can inform CIC.

Depending on your status and where the baby is born, the baby may or may not automatically be a Canadian citizen. If not, you will also need to add baby to your application as a dependent.

hi so I have been sponsoring my husband and we are near the end of the process. I have to do my taxes soon as it is near tax season. My question is if all the fees I paid to the government can be some how included when I do my taxes?

Do you mean the $1040 paid in total to CIC for sponsorship/PR? If so then no, none of these fees can be claimed on your taxes.
