hole anyone can help me i applied on nov 18 i got ppr on feb and submitted my passport on fen 24 i lived in canada for 5 years and my visa expired and i came to india to submit t my passport on feb 24 my status is in process since then and in july i was asked to submitt addition documents as i was charged with dui .i have paid all the fines and have my licence suspended for a year i also attended responsible driver program and was able to get the licence back in dec 2011.so now i have no clue whats going on as i submitted my additional documents and it reached delhi office on aug 3 does anybody have any idea whats going on any view whouls be great

When were you charged with the DUI? What was your sentence/punishment and when did it end? DUIs typically make you inadmissible to Canada for 5 years after completing your sentence/punishment.

Sorry - just read your message more closely. It sounds like you were charged with the DUI in Dec 2010 and your license was suspended until Dec 2011. You may want to talk to a lawyer. You may be inadmissible to Canada until Dec 2016.

Does the processing time get reduced if all the documents are placed and in order? How much time get reduced?
We have all the application with supporting documents like marriage, honeymoon, other trip photos for past 2+years, recommendation letters from friends and relatives, medicals done, PCC from one country of residence but not from other two as those two countries require CIC letters, spousal employer letter, employer job hunt print outs. We don't have any criminal/ black marks on our records?? How strong is our application?

My husband is from quebec and we received sponsorship approval already this August 23, 2012. We have not started the quebec application yet since he's coming here in Philippines for vacation on september, we will just wait to fill the application together and send it first week of november or last week of september. My question is, will I receive PPR even if the quebec application is not yet processed?

Hi, I would like to know. Once the Case Processing Center in Mississauga replied by email that my wife is eligible to sponsor me.
I understand that I am suppose to receive some kind of a kit? by mail? Its called permanent resident kit. I think.
I would like to know what happens next. In more detailed way.

Are you in Quebec? If so, you must file the Quebec specific forms, but you get them from the Quebec website.

Otherwise, when you sent in the sponsorship application, you should have also sent in your application and your application is forwarded to the applicable visa office.

No, but I honestly wouldn't wait too long. You will not get PPR because they want the copy of the CSQ as well. It's the only way they will proceed for anyone who will be living in Quebec.

If she can get an LMO, or the job qualifies for one without an LMO, then yes, she can offer him a job.

The rules about inland work permits are a bit complicated, best to read the CIC website to determine if he qualifies or not. Start here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-eligible.asp

Thanks parker! do you have any idea for how long it will take for CSQ to be processed? Im just a bit worried coz my medical is going to expire on Feb 2013 and we will submit te papers for Quebec next month and after that we will have to wait for the PPR I hope it wont take that long Thanks!

They will process your file like any other, the CSQ is just a formality from quebec. THE CSQ can be asked with the Passport request. But you must have done it by then it ranges from 2 weeks to 1 months to receive it once you've applied for it and MICC will send a copy to the Visa Office ( make sure to double check a few weeks after they could not find my CSQ)

Do you have any idea or anyone here in the forum has the idea on when will the Embassy give an update after submitting an affidavit for a decision whether Visa will be granted or will be refused? My case is my husband was not able to declare me during his application and before he landed in Canada contrary with my declaration with my husband address that made the VO thinks that I am in a common-law partner relationship. Because its been 1 month and 5 days to be exact that I did not receive any feedback from CEM. Thanks...

I am Canadian Resident from india, wanted to sponsor my wife after my engagement & Registered our marriage. I have marriage certificate in hand. Marriage is planned on Nov. So I plan to apply PR for my wife. I am in the process of collecting documents. I have some questions related. Can anybody help please?

Sponsorship appln:
1) am doing contract as IT consultant. I have enough proofs to add them about my earning like
a. contract agreement, company registration, bank statements (both business/personal)
b. a letter concerning my working hours, rates and extension of contracts
b. Notice of assessment or option c printout of years 2011, 2010.

Is there anything else do i need to include? Advise.

1) national identity card - birth certifcate - my wife has birth certificate without NAME on it and with only parents name when birth was registered. Is that problem?
2) what is the number to be shown from birth certificate as document no in the National identity document section?
3) I dont have marriage photos yet. but has engagement photos. is that enough to file the application? since i read some of forum hinting that Sponsor application approval process does not care those supporting documents for my PR. Is that correct?

Is application documents separated in different envelopes for sponsor/pr application?
