Hi,

I've filed Sponsorship Inland application for my spouse on 4 Jan 2022 online portal and not received AOR as of now. Generally how long it will take to receive AOR?

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Shiva
For online application it is a bit slow. I am seeing AOR from inland (online) application after 4 months.

Hello everyone, I had a question regarding common-law sponsor. I am a permanent resident since 2019 march and I want to sponsor my common-law partner who has been living with me since 2018. But I recently applied for my Citizenship application. My question is, if I go through with the sponsor application, would that affect my citizenship application?

Thanks in advance.

Won't affect your citizenship app.

I wouldn't advise doing upfront med...wait until they request.....Reason is that, it med results last for 12 month so if you do it early and they don't approve your application within that 12 month period, you will need to do another medical wasting another money again...Resources wise and not wasting money for nothing, wait until they ask you to to match with the time....Save some money
Thanks for your response! I finally got the request last week and have completed too! :)

It's only recently they've started shwoing these copr numbers before the PPR. So probably normal, but too new to say what practice is. It may mean ppr soon - or it may not.

ADR not uploaded

Hi everyone,
I am so stressed at that time because I can't see any hope now.
Actually ircc asked for ADR on 24 March 2022. And we sent them back to 6 April 2022. On new tracker I can we one update that they received information that what we sent on 25 March but how I can possible . If we submitted documents on 6 April nd they received on 25 March . Or they really got some information on 25 March that's why they uploaded . But till now there is no change on new tracker as well as on portal. My ADR last date is now very close.
My representative got the message general automatical message from email as well as from webform too . But not got any information that IRCC got documents. We are so worried and contracted MP he called them got information that IRCC requested documents but they didn't get. But we already sent documents to them . Our MP is so humble that he said we can send documents to them and he will forward to IRCC . It's been 7 days now we didn't get any update even after submitted documents through MP. We curious to now tha status so mu husband got the same information from automated telephone of IRCC that they requested additional documents. Please help if anyone gone through this kind of situation.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciate

Hi everyone,

I am sponsoring my wife (outland). I live in Montreal, but I work in Toronto remotely and plan to move to Toronto this year. In sponsorship application, form imm008, in response to "where do you intend to live in Canada?" we selected ON, Toronto. I am also preparing an explanation letter to explain that although I currently live in Montreal, I plan to move to Toronto, and my wife will reside in Toronto too.

We are doing this to not apply for CSQ (Certificat de Selection du Quebec) because the process will be longer if we apply through Quebec.

Do you think it's okay?

You could do that if you were living outside of Canada. Since your current address is in Quebec, they will process your file under Quebec rules. When you move, you will have to make a change of address. Otherwise, you have to move to Ontario first and apply afterwards.

If you already have an official address there (Toronto) and plan to move soon (in weeks), you can just use this address on the forms. By the time for them to open your file, you will be definitely living there in Toronto.

Like I said earlier, If your permanent address is in Quebec, they will process your application under Quebec Rules.

Thanks for your response. So if I use my friend's address in Toronto as my official address it would be okay? I mean do they need any proof of address?
Because I did not rent a place there yet, so I can use my fiend's address until I rent a place myself and I make a change of address after that.
