Hi there, i'm just new here in this forum and i really hope somebody can help me.
I am a Canadian Citizen living here in Alberta and i would like to sponsor my girlfriend for PR. We have been together for since December 18, 2014. She is 5 months pregnant and we are planning to get married March 1, 2014. She is here in Canada via working visa which will expire on June 2014 and student visa on July 2014. I just have some questions which i hope anyone can help me with please and thanks in advance.
1. Which is much better, inland application or outland application?
2. If ever our application takes a while, will my wife be sent home even if she is pregnant and due to give birth on June?
3. Is it true that we can no longer apply for OWP and PR together in one application?
(accdg to this article that we read online:Anyone being sponsored by a Canadian spouse or common-law partner, listen up. On January 15, 2014, the government changed the processing stream of IN CANADA CLASS spousal and common-law sponsorship applications. These are now to be sent to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga. The Case Processing Centre in Vegreville will no longer be processing these applications. AND, you can no longer include an application for an Open Work Permit or Visitor Extension WITH your sponsorship and PR applications. CPC Mississauga will let you know when or if you can apply for the OWP and you must submit visitor extensions separately to Vegreville. There is no longer any possibility of being able to continue working on implied status by including the OWP application with the PR application. This applies ONLY to those who have NOT submitted your application yet. Those who have already submitted your applications do not need to worry about this.) P.S. We tried to look for this update in CIC website but we cannot find any infos about this.
4. Do you have any idea about the processing times at the moment?
5. Do we still need a lot of documents and evidences to prove that our relationship is genuine? what kind of proof can you suggest?
These are all my questions for now. thank you for taking time to read them and hoping to hear from you soon.
