Than your best option is to get married and inform the visa office so that they can add your wife this will add time , but will save you from going back to your country.jimmy_kallarackal said:Ok i got it the stamp which i get on the passport if just pr visa and not the pr card i would receive the same only after landing. Thanks.
But now as i have sent my passport for stamping as i recieve the same with stamp.. can i marry after that and inform the embassy that i have married and then move ahead with my landing process??
My problem is once i move to canada i dont want to return back for marriage, i want to marry and go and what's the best way for doing the same?
Is court marriage ok or they demand ritual church marriage with photographs?
All this things are really complicated and agents do misguide a lot on these..
There is no problem with doing that just make sure you recieve the PR card before you leave for india.jimmy_kallarackal said:Ok thanks leon i understood the process..
and if i want pr right now i should let the process go on land in canada and then return back to india in a month or so and then get married and then return back to canada and start sponsorship process... hope there is no time limit to my stay if after landing in canada i return to india for marriage and i hope that i can stay atleast for a month in india for marriage ceremony??
Hope i am correct..
yeah thats fine ...u will have no problems entering Canada with ur PR card.jimmy_kallarackal said:Ok i will leave with the pr card, but after that if my marriage proceedure takes a month or two its fine i hope and i will be allowed to renter canada with that pr card after two months??.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions..
No problem ...good luckjimmy_kallarackal said:Thanks a lot for clearing all doubts and misconception which i had...
Yes - that's normal. They won't confirm that your application has been received. The first communication you'll have from them is a letter to the sponsor about 5-6 weeks after the application has been received confirming they have been approved to sponsor the applicant. Hope this helps!malawi said:Is it normal not to hear from cpc Mississauga that your application has been received? It's been about 10 days and I was hoping they would let us know that it arrived safely! The waiting really sucks!
No, that is not ok and you have already been told that is not ok. If you get married before landing, your PR visa becomes invalid because your family composition has changed. If you inform the embassy that you got married, they will tell you that your PR visa is now invalid and will advise you to send your passport back to them as well as immigration forms for your wife and her fees. She will then be added to your application and new PR visas will be issued for you both.jimmy_kallarackal said:I am from india i have received pr visa, but not yet landed.
1. Is it ok if i marry right now in my home country and inform the embassy that i am married and then i alone leave for landing into canada and sponsor my wife once i land immediately.
2. Can i start the process on the first day of landing ?
