Hi there.Hello Guys, this forum helped me out a lot during my own PR application and I'm hoping someone can help me out again with some questions as I plan to sponor my wife.
Basically I got married in Pakistan a few days ago. I am a Canadian PR holder and she is just a regular good old Pak citizen. My question is what are the chances of her getting a visit visa to come here and then we can apply for the whole year long sponsorship thing as inland or outland applicants from within Canada.
If the answer to above is 'no freaking chance' then when we apply from Pakistan can I go back there for a few months( 3 to 4 ) to live with her while the application is processed, will that hurt our application.
Thanks in advance guys, really appreciate any guidance
Given that the eligibility for this OWP is incredibly basic (be in status and apply inland), I would guess it is still in process and the Webform you sent was not really reviewed. What is your current status and when does it expire?Question: OWP "Rejection"
Background: I submitted my paper OWP & Inland PR applications and they were received October 30, 2019. Online my OWP app was backdated to October 23 (I guess this is procedure, to backdate 1 week from receipt).
Since 5+ months have passed with no OWP approval, I submitted a webform inquiring about its status. I realize everything is slowed down because of COVID-19, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Side note: I am still in status and was at the time of my app submission.
Today I received an email from IRCC stating that "We verified the information on file. However, it has been determined that you do not meet the eligibility criteria." (I have read and re-read the eligibility requirements, and don't understand why or what makes me ineligible. But that's besides the point of my post).
However, in my GCKey my OWP Application status still says "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."
Now, wouldn't an OWP rejection be noted and status changed accordingly in my GCKey? Or am I to take the email decision as final? Wouldn't I receive some sort of notification (other than an email response to my solicited inquiry) that my OWP was rejected, and possibly an explanation why?
Thanks to all that can provide any insight.
