Strange about your PR card saying.

The fact is, when one lands, s/he will give an address to the immigration officer at the port of entry and the officer will order the PR card to be delivered to that address, free of charge.

If you live in Toronto i can send you to one i used... she charge 2820 dollars (tax including) and then theres a extra 1040 dollars for for the immigration ppl to process the paper, and in that fee, u paying for the PR card too, so if u get approve he gets the card ship to him right away

You can apply outland even when your spouse is visiting Canada.

For outland application, please make sure you send the whole package to CPC-Mississauga (both the sponsor part and the PR applicant part). Once CPC-M has approved your sponsorship, they will forward the package to the visa office for further processing.

Hi Leon,
My spouse (who will be the applicant) and I (who is the sponsor) are living together in Singapore. I plan to apply for my spouse sponsorship as outside canada application. My spouse might come along with me (who is the applicant) to canada in tourist visa for 2-3 weeks to help me settle in Canada plus he need to see the place before making the big decision. Once my spouse leaves canada, is when we plan to sent the application to New Delhi office. However, to save time, thinking if we would sent application while spouse is in Canada (during that 3 weeks vacation time), for an outside application in canada (New Delhi). Is it advisable? or would there be any issues with it?

Hi Leon,

Need clarifications on the below queries regarding the PR application for my spouse in Canada...

1) Marksheets: Would 10th grade/12th grade/graduation/post graduation certificates be sufficient for the applicant?

2) Medical examination: When is it to be done- before or after the application process?

3) Police clearance certificates (PCC):
a) Minimum validity requirement of PCC
b) For some countries, as part of obtaining the PCC, one needs to provide for a requisition letter from the Canadian embassy. How can that
be obtained? Is it a letter that is provided after the application form has been submitted or do we need to send across a separate request for
this?
c) If PCC expires for current city of residence before application process then as we understand we need to provide an updated one? Pl.
confirm...For previous cities of residence, if PCC expires do we also need to provide an updated one?? Pl. confim...

Thanks

Hi,

Our application falls under spousal sponsorship and not under conjugal/common-law partner. My question is, does the sponsor need to fill the form IMM5409 which is Statutory Declaration of common-law union? Appreciate your response...

Thanks

If you are married, then no.

If the form IMM5409 need not be filled out for married spousal sponsorship, is there any other declarations to be signed by the sponsors?
