Hi,

I'm trying to envisage problems my spousal application may get into, and one individual has told me mine is a straight-forward case.
Our situation: My wife and I have never been married before. We got married late 2012 after a year of long-distance dating, but we first met 7 years earlier though we never entered relationship then. All our parents attended the wedding, including the cultural give-away and we have photos. We also have honey-moon photos.

We have no children from previous relationships and my wife has never sponsored anyone. She is 27 and I'm 33. Expecting our first child next March. My wife has been working full-time since April.

The evidence we have: a whole year of e-mail records and Skype calls, hours upon hours, many wedding photos, shared vehicle and life insurance, house lease for 10 months and air tickets for visit she made to see me last year.

Apart from depth of evidence, how does a straight-forward case look like?

Sounds pretty legit to me and a pretty straightforward case and appears to be a picture perfect case on the outside. Have either of you been convicted of any felonies or crimes? Have either of you filed for bankruptcy? However, you never know with CIC, as long as you have lots of evidence for your application, you should be fine.

The person who told you it was a straightforward application is right. It looks like you got what is mostly required as proof. I don't see there being any red flags or anything!

None of us has committed any crimes, not even the smallest traffic offences. We are also in good financial standing.

You should be fine. No reason to worry at all!
