Hey guys so my wife just received her passport and will be coming to Toronto, next Monday. She was asking me about what will happen at the airport when she arrives, and what to expect? What type of questions, and things she will need. Or even what experiences you've all had when you or a loved one first arrived to Canada with a spousal sponsorship PR.

Hi

Your wife will need her valid passport with the visa and her COPR. It's also I good idea to have her prepare an inventory of all the items she will be bringing into the country, as well as what will be coming into the country later.

was wondering if any knows how it works ones my spouse that I have sponsored arrives at the airport. What Is the process? Do they need me the sponsor to be there. I booked a ticket and there's a stop at Montreal then to toronto. Will that be ok??

Is it a stop in the effect that Montreal bound passengers get off, and then that same aircraft continues onto Toronto, or she is going to have a connection, she gets on a totally different aircraft ?
If it is a connection, then she will have to do immigration at the POE which will be Montreal, she will just be an arriving domestic passenger in Toronto. If it is a thru trip, then she would be immigration in Toronto

It is a connections.will there be an issue since I won't be there. What do they ask

The biggest issue will be the time in between flights. If it's a short connection, they may end up missing their flight from montreal to toronto.
