Hello,
I am currently residing in India, and my partner is living and working in Quebec. She obtained her PR through Express Entry and initially lived in Ontario for six months, where she acquired an Ontario driver’s license and health card. However, she later moved to Quebec for a job opportunity in her field.
Given that the spousal sponsorship processing time for Quebec is currently around 36 months, we are exploring options to avoid this lengthy timeline. She is currently alone in Quebec, and we are considering relocating to another province. However, her job contract extends until August.
We are seeking advice on the best course of action:
Thank you in advance for your help.

We are seeking advice on the best course of action:
- Should we apply for spousal sponsorship now and indicate that we will be moving from Quebec in July once her contract ends?
- Would securing a lease agreement in Ontario and showing that she resides there but works in Quebec be a viable option?
Thank you in advance for your help.
