Hello everyone,

I'd like to get some feedback on the best route to sponsor my future wife from Russia. A bit of background.

- I'm a Canadian citizen that was born in Russia. I have grandparents and other relatives that I have visited throughout my life.
- I visited Russia in 2016 and stayed for 3 months. I met a wonderful woman on my second day (the city of my birth). We hit it off and spend the next 3 months getting to know each other before I left to Canada.
- We kept in touch for the next 5 months (tons of hours over skype and many WhatsApp chats)
- We got her a visitor visa approved for 6 years.
- She came to Canada for a 10-day visit in May and left back to Russia
- We continued to develop our relationship
- I went to Russia again this month for 3 weeks to spend time with her and we went on a vacation to Greece for a week while I was there.
- I proposed to her in Russia and we had a get together between her parents and my grandparents and my mother who was also in Russia (she is a Canadian too) during that time.

Other information about us
- I'm slightly over a year older
- We have strong cultural background overlapping (her family is originally from Belarus as is some of my half of the family)
- She has a type A profession
- We have records of Skype chats and conversation durations as well as WhatsApp chat records
- We have photos of us throughout the relationship as well as plane tickets etc.
- She is well traveled and has been all over Europe, North Africa, and Asia. Currently, has a European Visa and a 6-year visitor Visa to Canada.

I would like to get some feedback on how to continue from here. I'm currently in the process of looking for a new job. As soon as I get a new job I plan to have her come here on her visitor visa. Once my 3 months probation at the job is over I can get insurance. At this point, I marry her and begin the sponsorship inland. I'm reading the outland sponsorship is smoother via Warsaw but the distance is really driving us crazy and we would prefer to be together for the remainder of the process.

Any help to make the process smoother or alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's my understanding she could work in Canada after 4 months?
Would we need to get an extension of her visitor VISA?

Can anyone give some feedback on staying in Canada on visitor visa while applying for outbound?

With a visitor visa she CANNOT work and it had to be extended once her stay is coming to an end (up to 6 months depending on CBSA at time of entry)

She will leave before the 6 months are up and wait for the outbound PR approval, is this possible?

I don't care if she works we just don't want to put up with the distance. Also, it will allow her to get used to living here.

I'm just wondering if there is any issue with us marrying in Canada, having her stay for 5 months and then going back until the application is approved.

We too want to minimize the distance.

Has anybody applied for outland while staying in Canada with visitor visa?

Many people have. It's not at all unusual.
