I have a question about verification of my relationship. So me and my husband have been talking via watsapp but usually would use sling in most of our texts. For example instead of saying for we would use fr (short forms of words) I am concerned because the IRCC says all chats have to be in English but also, we can’t translate short forms or slung into English. What the best way to approach this situation? Any advice is appreciated.

Just send them your chat as well as your chat history, IRCC know every language, during my interview my officer talk with me in our native language, don't worry they will read your chat as you did with your someone, :)

Discuss the meaning of these short words with your translator. They have their rules around translating such things.

Thank you! Will just send the whole chat and hopefully they won’t be hung up on the short forms
