Hi community, I have received my Canadian FSW visa and will be landing shortly. I currently have a girlfriend whom I really like and see myself spending a lifetime together.
She is in Ukraine and never visited Canada to date.
So here is the question, which of the options would be best for our situation and the most flawless application process:
a) I land, get my PR, she visits me on tourist visa, i propose, we get married in Canada. She returns to Ukraine, files her outland applicaiton.
b) I land, get my PR, I come back to Ukraine, we get married in Ukraine. I return to Canada, and file a outland application as well.
Additional questions:
- will the CIC find it suspicious that she visited me on tourist visa and unexpectedly got married?
- will it be ok, if we get married on her first visit to Canada or do we have to show some history of traveling back and forth?
We are together for almost a year now, I can get a pretty good case of evidence of our relationships, since I have our pictures, flight tickets, hotel bookings, family visit pictures, etc.
Thank you for your help.
