Hello, does CEM usually issue visa before medical expires? Thanks

Every application is different.
Many applicants do get their visa issued before the meds expire and some others unfortunately do not.

Some applicants have been asked to redo their medicals because they are nearly expired and others they just extend. There is no reason as to why some get extended and the others are asked for redo of meds.

Yep it was the same here too for my wife, She just picked up her passport/visa on April 16. Time to prepare for her arrival. :)

My spouse just sent the documents in for the Spousal Sponsorship.

So If i not mistaken Step #1 takes around 60 days - Assessment of Sponsor

Anyone have any idea about Step#2 - Assessing the person who is being Sponsored.

My file will be sent to the Phillippines

Thanks

The posted timeline for step 2 is about 15 months. Typically, key word 'typically' applicants get their Visas 8-10 months after Manila receives your application. Good luck! You just have to be patient.

Im new here....

My eCAS update,
1. Application for permanent residence received - July 8, 2014
2. Medical results have been received.

Thats the only update on my eCAS..

No passport request yet. no other update. :(

anyone with the same status as mine? Can I email them for follow up?

Help please.. thanks!

I finally got ppr and the email states that visa expiry is on june 2015. :D
In the email they have a note that says they might need 90 working days to stamp the passport (which is beyond the visa validity).

I'm undecided if I should follow up on my passport again next week. Might be too soon given the 90 days processing time but they are not giving me much time as well since visa is expiring soon.

Hi! I just landed here in Canada and hoping to sponsor my boyfriend by next year. I just want to prepare. I am a PR and was sponsored by my mom, I got lucky because I was able to bring my lovely daughter too. I did not declare my boyfriend as a common law partner because we didn't live under the same roof for 6 consecutive months, we were supported by our parents all throughout my pregnancy and delivery, we do not have any joint bank accounts or any properties. And of course the fear of getting denied by the immigration. Will this hinder my application? We are planning to get married next year. Salamat in advance.

I am happy I saw this forum :D

Congrats!!!!!!!!! hmmmm yes not much time.
Just a thought, if you have not sent out your passport yet perhaps you could try and send an email to them that you are concerned that your issuance of the visa may be received late and that you need time to prepare your things for departure. You could ask them if its possible based on that concern if you could have an in person appointment for pickup.

Chris.

Is Form B4 necessary when landing in Canada? Thanks
