Few days ago i sent an inquiry to know if they've transferred my file to visa office without letting us know and yesterday got their reply which seems like they have started processing files in Sydney now.
What was their exact answer?I am not sure they will be handling all applications in Sydney. They will ultimately be transferred to respective Visa offices. One office cannot handle all applications plus Sydney office also handles citizenship applications (before they are transferred to respective processing offices)

I might be wrong but their reply made think like that.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

It is still under 4 months since you have submitted your application, it took 6 and half months for my application to be transferred to LVO. Sometimes it takes time

And after the file transfer how long did it take for the final decision?

My application is still under process. I am October 2017 applicant and it’s been 20 months for us. Stuck in background checks since may2018

Have you requested CBSA note?
No I haven’t but our mp gave us an update that they need additional documents regarding my security verifications, since we did not get any additional documents request so I am guessing it was within agencies.

Have you tried contacting? Any particular reason you found out for the delay?
Yes I did, no one can help specially once you are stuck in background checks, all you can do is wait and get frustrated

How about your medical? Did they ask you to redo or they extended it for you? What does it say on your GC key?
Medical got expired in April 2018, they will ask for remedical once everything else is finalised for example background checks

To be honest I have no idea if these checks are still going on with me or they have done. LVO is not responding me. MY GC key has an update yesterday that my medical has been changed from “ You passed your medical exam on 12 June, 2018” to “You do not need a medical exam, we will send you a message if this changes”. I guess that means they extended my medical and I think that is a good sign. Most importantly, I hope they won't let me wait for long.
