Hi Guys

I am almost ready to submit my spousal sponsorship application and would like to confirm one item before I send this out. I got married (only Nikkhah) in Dec 2015 and rukhsati/walima were held in Dec 2016 and now about the month after my customary wedding ceremonies I am about to submit the application. My question is do you guys think I need to explain the reason why I didn't apply for my spouse sponsorship right after our nikkah or there is no need for expalnation?

Hello. To CIC, your marriage was completed when you did the Rukhsati ceremony in 2016. Had you applied after Nikkah only they would have questioned on the genuineness of the marriage (that's how they think). So it is easier that you are applying after Rukhsati. Having said that, you need to write your whole "story" in the application. Each and every milestone (how you met, how wedding was arranged, engagement nikkah specially why you postponed rukhsati to 2016.)

Secondly ,one of the supplementory form asks for travel information for both applicant and sponsor. It says "list all the trips you and your family members have taken outside your country of origin or residence is last 10 years " .I have been in Canada for almost 10 years , where my status changed from study permit to work permit and now PR , my question is that the time I have spent in Canada as a student or on a work visa, do I need to list that as a trip outside country of origin or residence?

Hi again, how were you able to book your medical without IME number? I remember you used old forms.

IME number was there when cic send me the request for medical .. for some reason when i was checking the messages on gc key from my phone all the feilds were empty .. then i read on forum somewhere that you need the lastest version of acrobat reader to view the messages/email properly .. I logged in to gc key from my Laptop and updated the reader version and then opened the message ... every thing was there , applicant's name IME number bar codes . So they do send you the IME number with your medical requisition .

Ok so im in a fix.. i tried sending a 14 MB doc to LVO email id and my message was blocked cause of file size limit.
Can anyone confirm the file size limit for LVO email? :/

I have sent 15mb file last week to LVO email address, no problem at all.

i had to compress the file size to 10 mb... :/

Well my file was actually 32 mb i had also compressed it to 15mb and it was successfully sent.

Total 9 mb and always issue , It is better please mail the document to LVO.
it is very quick save your lot of time for processing.
