Its sad to see people for 8 months and no answer :'(...kinda worries me. I have always said spousal sponsorship should be the fastest. There is no reason for its delay, you can figure out quickly when a marriage is fraud or not. Plus even if you want to take an year atleast give the spouse a TRV : so they can be with each other, this 11-12 month delay god forbid can really screw marriages over.

just because we're going through a delay right now does not mean 2016 applicants will face a similar delay. you might get through sooner. keep your hopes up.

i already have written letters to both mccallum and trudeau. unfortunately they don't really care unless there's a mass protest or media coverage. individuals are not as important as the majority vote.

this is why i ask everyone to never forget and to NOT vote for the liberals in 2019.

I understand your frustration bro, but Harper was even worse, immigration in his time from PK was 32 months, and he was known against immigration from Muslim countries. His party was anti-Muslim and Islam in every sense. I know Trudeu promised many things like all politicians, but I feel we have a better chance of our immigration done sooner under liberals than the conservatives.

His party was anti-Muslim and Islam in every sense. I know Trudeu promised many things like all politicians, but I feel we have a better chance of our immigration done sooner under liberals than the conservatives.

there are other choices besides the conservatives, but yeah, i understand what you're trying to say. although the liberals have done nothing but disappoint so far, perhaps there's still hope that they'll live up to their promises.

I ordered notes and got them exactly on 30th day. This is just an FYI for people who are ordering notes.

The usual jargon, "not started" all over the notes. At least they noticed we are married and that I have provided marriage certificate so hopefully they won't ask for it again in doc request.

I also want to mention that if someone comes across difficult acronyms on their notes, feel free to shoot them my way I have access to governments acronym database (as an employee) so hopefully I will be of some help.

what did you do about your 2nd doc request where they asked for your urdu nikkah nama? you said you already sent that with your application, so how could you possibly get another one?

I sent Urdu Nikkah Namma and marriage certificate. They asked for attested translation of your Urdu Nikah Nama.

I have question for those who translated their Nikkah Namma.... Does translated Nikkah Namma should have sign of bride, groom, vakil and guwah? Or translated should just be translated and have it attested?

No translated attested nikkah nama dont require signs.

Nope zero comments which is expected because I am a feb 2016 applicant, and they haven't even started working on dec 2015 apps. So much for reducing wait times for spouse, I am already at 7 months mark. My friends wife was in Canada in 7 months under Cons.

Yeah, the person doing translation will mention that there are signatures from bride and groom plus witnesses. The translator also testifies that it is true translation. So no you don't need signatures on translation.

Hi, they asked me for the translated nikah nama too.. The translated nikah nama is in the exact same structure the urdu nikah nama is but its just an english version... In Lahore you can get that from your local union council or the people that sit outside of courts... Normally there is a fee for it if you get it through a person from court but I dont know how much is it... But don't worry you can get that in a day or two if you let them know its urgent...

I totally agree. It's all about scoring points in the eyes of the public. They are fast tracking all these applicants from visa exempt countries just to make their overall numbers look good. I wrote to McCallum as well and there was not even as much as an acknowledgement. Not even from one of his office reps.

I have another plan, which is to write to the opposition's critics for Immigration, i.e. Michelle Rempell (Conservative) and Jenny Kwan (NDP). Never thought I'd be reaching out to the conservatives for help our immigration case, but this just might be it. I'm hoping they can grill the minister on this whole farce, because the Liberals have just been the media's darling lately.
