i'm in the same situation, i don't have any vacation days left at all. if they ask for more photos of us together, my plan is to instead send them a letter explaining why i can't visit her (i.e. no vacation days), plus proof to back this up in the form of an official letter from HR showing my current vacation balance and also showing that i haven't taken any days off since the date of submitting my app.

Times like these makes me wish I lived somewhere in the middle east so I could visit her at least once a month.

hey now, you're only going to stress yourself needlessly by thinking like that. i have a friend living in Saudi Arabia with a wife in Pakistan, and even he wasn't able to visit her that frequently. you still gotta pay for that ticket and request time off the same way we do here.

bottom line is that you have a valid reason for not being able to visit her. man's gotta bring in the dough somehow, and i'm sure the visa officers understand that.

there is a chance you can get the interview waived if you voluntarily send in the right proof of relationship. some others have done this before.

firstly, do the notes mention why an interview is required? read your notes carefully and let us know what you find.

Yes according to the notes the interview is required. " PLEASE PUT IN THE INTERVIEW QUEUE"
According to the notes my spouse is 10 years younger than me . So may be this is the concern .
Please advise

I took vacation and visited her and provided that proof, I won't be getting any vacation any time soon so we won't have other pictures together.

i was told not to send in stuff for the very same reason as bolded above, but i sent em anyways cause many ppl did it & their info was updated to their file soon or later.

yepp, just got back this march. cant afford going again! nor will i have more pictures to send cause i sent em in a week ago. (hopefully they get them & not like some immi officer posed, ke voluntary proofs dont count, cause i highly doubt they dont get em.)

well let's hope they dont yo. i legit cant go again this time around..& tbh LVO shud know that not everyone can afford to go meet their spouses ever so often or in some cases, even once; whether its time concerning or budget...

That is quite an extensive list. Did you not provide all these documents with your initial application? Or are they just asking for it again?

@khaanza what's ur timeline??? how far in ur app have they requested this addtn'l info? have u visited ur spouse?

Hi people

Alhamdulilah My husband got his passport back yesterday with visa and landing paper. We haven't got our original documents back yet so gonna send them an email today. Now i have a question. My husban wants to go for umrah on his way to toronto so just wondering can he do that? Means is it ok to go somewhere else before coming to canada even when u have the visa stamped???

don't get too excited though, lol. you know CIC doesn't work on a first come first serve basis.

you can expect a doc request soon if they need anything, but just to be on the safe side, don't expect a DM until June (that puts you at 7-8 months since app file date).

This is the request I got today, will submit docs by friday really confused how long it will take now

they asked me the same info. they emailed me for the interview after 7 months of the submission of the documents. so yeah, its a hell lot of time.

khaanza, i personally know a September 2015 applicant who got a similar doc request, and he got a decision made about 1.5 months after submitting the documents. don't worry, just because you've received a doc request does not mean there will be a delay. just send them what they need as soon as possible.

The documents which the immigration. I already submit it the same. My wife will submit my case in this week or next weeks. Look like we have same document. It took a hell of time but we did it after all.

Dear Mercy Pls share your thoughts

File Is in Background Checks After Interview , Does this Means I have passed Interview, is it good sign ? ? I ordered GCMS notes before interview and i found that Criminality assed , Medical : Passed ( Expired) Security : __________ ( Blank).. Are they now doing security checks ?

I sent Enqury and got reply back that my File is in routine background checks


p.s : Before Interview was Asked to pay landing fees and Re-Medicals, which was expired in December 2015
