hey guys! can someone clarify for me?

so i sent in my app on 20 oct, 2015 to mississauga and i got an email up on dec 9, 2015: saying "we have received your app" (i should assume this is the AOR Acknowledging of receipt) right?

yesterday i checked ECAS and it says "in process" as of dec 8, 2015.

My question 1: where is the sponsorship approval email? should the AOR be acknowledged as the approval of sponsor? im confused.
2. How long will it roughly take from now (since it's christmas break now)? on the timeline, i've seen 2nd email and DM is taking about a 50-60 days or so on some of the more recent cases...

Also MERCY24 or any other admin, please add my updated info to the timeline.

"in process" on ecas: 8-dec (that's what it says on the website)
AOR/ sponsor approval(?) : 9-dec

After landing in Canada in how many days they give you PR card.

Assalamu alykum. Need alittle help here.

I have applied as an applicant in September. On 20 November I received correspondence that my photographs in the application do not meet the requirements so I have to resend them with in 45 days. I sent the photographs again immediately and they got received on Nov 30 as per FedEx tracking. Am I supposed to receive any confirmation of these photographs being received from the Canadian High Commission because I have not received any confirmation of receipt from them as of now?

I believe they don't send any confirmation. Just Chill. Rely on FedEx Confirmation. Hope they get your photos.

Anybody applied for proof of Canadian citizenship certificate for a baby from Consulate of Canada in Karachi? Thanks

Thanks ahs. Did you submit original citizenship certificate of one of the parent? In my case, I have submitted true certified copy of my citizenship certificate and passport. I have applied four months back. I have also applied for my wife's sponsorship in early September, 2015. I intend to apply for limited validity passport for my 13 months old son, when my wife gets immigrant visa. How much time it takes to process the application for proof of Canadian citizenship in Pakistan?( if applied through Consulate in Karachi). Many thanks

You have to send original Citizenship Certificate/Card with the child's proof of citizenship certificate, and Child's limited validity Passport. Once you apply for proof of Canadian Citizenship Certificate, you become eligible to apply for Limited Validity Passport, you can send both applications in one package to Canadian High Commission Islamabad. It takes 5-9 months to get the Proof of Canadian Citizenship Certificate, but you can get the Child's Limited Validity Passport in 4-6 weeks.

Yes but you can't figure out if it is remedical or upfront medical. That can only be distinguished in notes.

If on ECAS it appears medical results have been received after Re medical done, then off course its about Re medical.
For my case , on Ecas , it was never mentioned about up front medical , but after 20 days of Re medical , extra line was written that medical results have been received , so its about Re medical..
