Please, can anybody assist me that how much time usually takes the background check to complete/finalise?

I had submitted the updated schedule A, Police CC, RPR Fee and Medical in June 2014. What will be next step as my upfront medical is going to Expire in June 2015 and background check are still undergoing

After LVO requested additional documents, like Urdu Nikah Nama, how long does it take them to send PPR2. And also my Medical and police report have expired, should I wait for them to request new one or I can send them these proactively?

You will need to wait until you get a re-med request.
Do not send these docs until requested.
Check the spreadsheet for current trends.

I was about to apply for a visit visa to see my spouse. Now considering i got remedical request from cic should i apply for visit visa now or not?
How long will my PR application take now that i got remedical request?
Will it take more than 2 months?

When did you receive the medical request? I think it is better that you wait. Getting a visit visa is very hard when your application is underway for permanent residency.

U plz wait and not apply visit visa coz permanent is in process they reject visit visa. And also effect on your file soo just wait and don't take tension. U will b hear good news very soon In Sha Allah

BG check takes more time in the entire case processing, and it too much depends upon your travle history. Many local depts are involved in it, so it will take bit longer if you have traveled.

u mean travelling as a visitor even?..I have travelled say a dozen countries, would it take long for my BG check to b completed..?

AFAIK In PPR1 they ask for a copy of your passport and want you to send it to LVO, in PPR2 they ask you to send your original passport to CHC Islamabad for visa.

Can anyone tell me about how much time they take after PPR1..? As I got PPR1 on Dec 16, 2014 and have sent that on Dec 17 but still there is no correspondence. I'm worried if there is any problem regarding my process..

CIC Delhi has asked my wife to get the re-assessment of medical validity.

Seems like now IOM give appointment by emails not over the phone.

Has anyone received similar requests?

Yes, everything is done through email now. Its normal.
