In any case you need to contact IOM for appointment and on appointment day you have to present email to receptionist that you need test mentioned in email and not full medical.

Can someone please give me some guidance on the re-med. when my husband called to get an appointment the person he spoke to said to get a polio certificate?

What is that? From what we heard, the hospital stamps the passport that shows that he got the polio shot?! Is that correct

Guys, what is the difference between AOR and sponsorship approval? We just received one email in which they mentioned that we have met the sponsorship requirement and our application has been transferred to LVO for further processing. I assume this is SA. What about AOR? We didn't receive any other email.

Brother there are 2 main places where you can get your nikkah nama English translation done..
1. civic center near expo center.
2. city court on M A Jinnah road.

just for the information it should only cost you 500 to 700 for translation and attest so you have to bargain they gonna ask 1500.. so just be careful.

Congrats buddy... stage 1 is done.. just wait and relax till they ask for re medicals will 6 to 8 months. your assumption is right. nothing to sorry AOR ,Sponsorship approval and stage 1 all are same.

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt.
This is sent out prior to sponsorship approval to the sponsor's email address that he/she provided on the form.

Sponsorship approval occurs on the same day CIC transfers your case file to the visa office.

I don't think we received the AOR. We just received the SA.

What email service provider is the spouse using?
Sponsor should do a search for any emails from cic.gc.ca.

Even if you cannot find, its ok. It's just an CIC acknowledgement they have received your application on x date in Mississauga.

AFAIK In PPR1 they ask for a copy of your passport and want you to send it to LVO, in PPR2 they ask you to send your original passport to CHC Islamabad for visa.
