LVO is facing a backlog of 6500 applications that is why they are not working on the current applications because according to the new govt they have to clear the backlog by the end of 2016.

Mine was 8 mar and status in process every day checking 10 times no change yet, I sent email as well and got reply my file is with an officer under review donno what else they review?

In how may days you got reply from CIC ? I think you should order notes you will that if you pass Interview or not .

Truthfully, I'm getting so sick of this waiting game. They shouldn't take years to approve or reject cases. Even if they want to reject, they should just do it upfront instead of letting the applicants wait.

We need a distraction or something!

Also, I had applied for TRV for my husband and it's been more than 45 days with no updates. The processing time was 39 days. I have sent case specific request but no updates from there either :'(

WHAT? where did you hear this from? are you telling me that all new apps won't be touched until next year??????????????????

i'm sorry but i dont believe this. i see that there was an article here that said they will REDUCE backlogs and welcome more people by the end of 2016, but no where did they say they plan to ELIMINATE all backlogs. here is the article: http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/canada-plans-to-welcome-300-000-newcomers-this-year-mccallum-1.2808284

furthermore, i see new applicants getting DMs still. one member who had her file transfer on 31st october got her DM only a few days ago...

i am not sure its just my guess. as i am seeing on this forum that from the last two months only the applicants from 2011-2014 are getting dm and also on the london spreadsheet as well. so according to this forum LVO is working on the backlog. lets wait for another month i hope to see oct applicants getting DM.i wish this month proves my guess wrong.

no, many people that applied in in the summer of 2015 also have their DMs now. the ones that don't have DM yet are getting doc requests, which means their apps are at least being worked on. from what i know, this is our latest member to get a DM: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/profiles/beti-u549568.html

she is an august 2015 applicant, had her file transferred in october 2015, and finally got a DM in april 2016.

if our files are "put away" status, then technically we are part of that backlog. the conservative govt once tried putting a temporary freeze on new apps to reduce parental sponsorship backlogs, and if mccallum wanted to do the same to family sponsorships, they would've at least mentioned that...

This month will surely give all of us a clear picture. so lets wait and hope everything moves smoothly.i seriously gets depressed when i visit this forum..may be there are hundreds and thousands of other pakistani applicants whose cases are processed faster and who are not on the forum..who knows..so keep praying for everyone.

yes you're right. a cousin of mine is also sponsorsing. he's trying it with a nikkah only wedding, and LVO was asking him for more proof in feburary 2016. he is an october 2015 applicant.

But what about the Sept and october applicants whose files are not even touched by the officers. at least they should have started working on them. Either they are not at all working on the application received after oct or they are too slow to finish aug sept ones.

U should submit ur proofs of that visit voluntarily that's what I did. It's a positive impact on file.

my point was that my cousin, who is an october 2015 applicant, is having his file worked on.

i know it's discouraging... i'm going to visit my MP again and try to find out what's going on...

i looked at this and all the people who applied between july 2015 and september 2015 got DM in just 4-5 months. meanwhile the rest of us who applied later are already at the 4-5 month mark and we haven't gotten anything... they haven't even touched our apps according to our gcms notes!!! what's going on? did CIC go on vacation after the elections?

I am an July 2015 applicant and still waiting. Haven't heard anything from LVO since the transfer of the file. I ordered notes in January and they looked at the Eligibility sometimes in November last year with a further review required note and the current status of the file at that time was put away. I am planning to send proofs about my recent visit to hubby which might help with the overall processing of the application. Lets see!

I got reply in 20 day, Alhamdullelah my interview is pass as the officer told me verbly in the intw and he said he will try to release my visa as soon as he is back to london, at time of intw he was about take my passport but my bad luck that my police clearance was not ready it was under process 1 day after intw i sent by email as he asked me to send the scan copy via email to LVO.
so now i can wait only
