My husband got passport request today for visa.

can u please update ur whole timeline? some crucial info that u cant add on the timeline info like,
*when did u get ur meds done initially?

were there any:
*remeds?
*additional docs request? if yes, what docs?
*when/did u order notes while ur file was in process?

there are many people who have got their visas in such short duration even in lesser time as that of mine... In sha Allah eevryone will get theirS soon....

congrats on the quick processing! adding on, what did u do differently on ur app that u think resulted in the quick processing? can u briefly share how many/what pics were there, how u organized them & ur call-chat logs & other documents etc.

Yeah..actually the stamp on my passport shows that visa was issued on 15/02/2016 but i got an email to submit my passport on 24/02/2016. I got my passport back on 25-03-2016.
I was myself confused what to write in section "visa issued". I guess i should write the date on which i got my passport back.. Right?

For the very first time...i got my medicals done 6 months before applying my file that was on 19th of november 2014..then after applyin in june, 2015, i got a remedical request in november which was done on 18th of november,2015.. and yes there are many people who have got their visas in such short duration even in lesser time as that of mine... In sha Allah eevryone will get theirS soon....

yeah that would make a bit more sense. i wished the forum would change up the "info editing criterias" cause they're really weird & so off-point. we need some like upfront med done, one for "in process" date, DM etc

also, is there a way u can request the earliest date of ur choice (i guess if u CALL then u can talk & ask em) but what about for email?
P.S. ik my husband wont be waking up at 8am sharp & tryna call em & wait for 2hrs...

cause ik they like love to pick up the phone & they're so proffesional about it :
i wanna know beforehand cause u know, u dont wanna be stuck with a random date 3 weeks later & then that just adds on to the wait times that we all'r awready sick of.

any ideas from people who've gone thru this? what did y'all do?

It will take some time and person should keep patience for quite some time to hold on the line...in my case it took only 5 minutes
Other thing is u send them an email at canmedpk@iom.int. forward them the email u have received for remedical, ur passport number, full name of the applicant, date of birth, contact number etc... request for early appointment they will schedule ur appointment. U can ask them if u r on call if it's available in lahore/ islamabad earlier. schedule that or other way around as well if traveling is not a big issue for ur husband.

It's not that lengthy procedure or may be I was lucky that day!

It took a month in ur case after remedical to get DM... I am also hoping for some good news in this coming week because my remedical was done on 7th March... what should I do if I don't get DM this week as well???

Any idea? Me medical is forwarded on 9th March I have checked that twice!

U should be getting PPR in this week in sha Allah!

Regarding your 2nd Question.. Once you your child born, you can immediately go for Nadra birth Certificate, B-Form, and FRC from Nadra. After that you can apply for Proof of Citizenship Application, once you file you child's proof of citizenship, you go for Passport for the child. (That passport called limited passport(for two years validity only)).

I am a Canadian citizen as well, and my son was born in Pakistan, and I did the same, got the passport once I applied for his proof of citizenship.

What I understood from your post is, you or your spouse is going to have a baby and you want a travel document for the baby so that he or se can fly to Canada with parent.

I don't have direct answer to your question. I am a Canadian citizen, living in Canada and I have applied for my baby's proof of Canadian citizenship certificate. It takes around 9-12 months to process the application as per the information by forum members. I have applied 7 months back and still waiting. After you apply for proof of Canadian citizenship certificate, you become eligible to apply for Limited Validity Passport for the baby. The processing time varies from 4 weeks to 3 months, as per the information of forum members. First you need identity documents for baby, birth certificate and B form. So in your case, I guess, you need to get the birth certificate and B form first. Then you can apply for proof of Canadian citizenship of your baby and later LVP. Somebody suggested, applying for proof of Canadian citizenship and LVP together, but I don't have any experience of my own.
