Could you guys update whenever you get your passport with visas. Thank you.
I mean to say whoever has recently submitted their passports for visa.

Its been less than two weeks and I am still waiting to get my passport back. IA I'll post here as soon as I get it

"Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has introduced amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (the Regulations) which apply to spouses, common-law or conjugal partners in a relationship of two years or less with their sponsor and who have no children in common with their sponsor at the time they submit their sponsorship application. The sponsored spouse must cohabit in a legitimate relationship with their sponsor for two years from the day on which they receive their permanent resident status in Canada. If they do not remain in the relationship, the sponsored spouse’s status could be revoked. The conditional measure only applies to permanent residents whose applications are received on or after October 25, 2012—the day that the amendments came into force. "

On a personal note ... my prayers for the couple, hope they manage to resolve their issues.

That is correct, although this conditional PR is misused by some sponsors by threatening their applicants for deportation, abusing, dominating, neglecting and taking other measures. In that case there is a clause too if applicant can prove that sponsor is not taking their responsibility or abusing or neglecting them. They can file a case with a lawyer and they may get out of conditional PR. But they really need to prove that with sufficient documentary or other evidences.

But that all applies when she lands in Canada and get her COPR stamped. May ALLAH help them settle their differences in a peaceful and way which is better for them.

Old applicants who applied in start of 2014 or before were asked to first submit a copy of their passport page to their respective Visa office that was PPR1 and then after a month or so were asked to submit their original passport to Islamabad for COPR.

But that changed from middle of 2014 that most applicants were not asked to submit passport copy to LVO , but were directly asked to submit original passport to Islamabad for COPR. that reduced a month or two from application process so you are on track. INSHA ALLAH will receive PPR soon.

You have to email them. They never answer the phone.

Hi I did but they gave me appointment on 22 March and I want an early date. I emailed them again that I want a date before 15 March ...

best way .. in morning tym call him again nd again .. one tym he pick ur call .. by email its takes too much tym .. i also do the same .. also say him ,, k plz koe jldi k tym dejya ga m jlde krwan chati hun .. moja 29 feb k tym deya ta mna kaha mojha jlde krwana h 25 k tym mil gya ta ...

We had interview today , every thing went well , Alhadullila but they did not give our documents back to us.
They had objection on one thing that why I stayed too long with my husband, as I'm the sponsor ...In the end she said that she will get back to us by the end of the month.please comment on it...

I got it in 5 minutes through call and I also sent them an email and got the reply next day so try both the things but phone is much preferred n hold for few minutes... u will get it done!!!
