Hey everyone, last year with the help of this forum, I sponsored my husband from Pakistan. Everything was going great, and all of a sudden my husband just left and walked out on me last month. He took his paperwork and left. At this point I don’t know where he is and why he is doing this.

I’m his sponsor and he came to Canada in April 2018. When he got here he was a little shady but I didn’t really think of it as much. But what he did now, I don’t understand what to do. I feel like he married me for the PR. He used me just for that. I tried to contact him and he never relied. What can I do? Can he deported for what he did?

How can gcms notes help me ? How useful is it ? Is it necessary should I do that or its not that important?

TBH in all my PR applications..my pr...my wife pr application..i hav noticed one thing that it really helps processing faster. even in my pr application i ordered pr application and suddenly i had progresss in my visa application(either next stage started or visa officer sent communication asking for something else) and later in gcms notes i noticed that file was reviewed when my file was opened for gcms notes scanning process. same happened in my wife pr application...processing stopped.....i asked for gcms notes in the first week of dec and in dec they asked for more documents...trust me it helps...or maybe its coincidence those 3 times.

I agree! I experienced the same thing couple of times. For example, after providing additional documents, I had not heard for like a month and half. I sent an inquiry and 2 days later got pre-arrival. Later, the GCMS notes showed that they had reviewed and passed my eligibility few days after I uploaded the documents but then were just sitting on it. Same thing happened for initial review. When I ordered the GCMS notes the first time, it triggered them to start reviewing my application.

Some one told me that i need to file 2 different applications (one for wife and one for daughter) but the cic website says "If you’re sponsoring a spouse or partner, any dependent children should be listed on their application forms".

This means there will be only one application in which spouse will be the principal applicant and daughter will be the minor applicant.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

So sorry to hear that sister! Unfortunately thats a sad reality/ however, I would suggest just give it some more time and don’t rush in complaining and if u have a feelings for him pray to Allah that he comes back and realize his mistakes

I applied from Saudi Arabia.
I received a letter on 17th July to submit the passport to the nearest VAC center.
I need to know that is there any visa fee to be paid before submitting Passport and how should it be paid.

Thank you, because this all happened so fast I am trying to figure out possible solutions, I will look through this Facebook group, and if all comes to worse I’ll get in touch with a lawyer.
