Congratulations on your approval. However, if the sponsor is PR (not citizen) then it's not recommended to stay out of Canada for longer period of time during the process.AN ADVICE FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE DESPERATELY WAITING FOR THEIR SPOUSES:
If your application is stucked due to some whatever reason, and you are thinking that every single day you spend is becoming more and more worthless, frustrating, and colorless and emailing and abusing LVO, contact local MP etc. is not going to help you out, then you should realize that you don't have any other option other than just silently waiting. But this wait will increase your depression and frustration over time. So, here is an advice to alleviate your depression:
Just go to Pakistan for a longer time. Take unpaid days off for around 2 months. You can afford unpaid leaves now because you are "single" here. You don't have much responsibilities. Talk to your employer and request them that you have some family issue and you will need to go. Or you can talk to them for work from home as well. And here is an excuse: tell them that your wife is back home and your process is taking longer than usual, and CIC has asked for more proofs, such as outings, etc. so in order to substantiate it, you will need to spend a good time with your spouse and gather the evidences of your meetups and outings so that your application gets approved.
You can make any other excuse as well, but the above excuse worked for me.
This way, you will spend a good time with your spouse, you will do outings, go to Northern areas of Pakistan, blah blah blah...but it will surely decrease your frustration. Remember, Canada's beautiful rivers, parks, malls can never make you happy if you are away from your loved one.
My application was taking longer, so I went to Pakistan for unpaid leaves and enjoyed life, and when I was in Karachi with my wife @ArshiArshi , my application was approved, Alhamdulillah. So, we submitted her passport together to High Commission of Canada in Gizri, Karachi.
May all applications be approved soon!
aap ki documents, work history waghera woh log ek hadd tak check karte hain...jab application LVO chali jaati ha to phir principal applicant ki detail, background, whereabouts waghera check horahe hotay hain..so agar sponsor kuch time k liye chala bhi jaaye to problem nahi hoti..coz aap ki eligibility yeh log start me hi check karlete hain..(you might got an eligibility email soon after you submitted your application)Congratulations on your approval. Only citizens can reside outside Canada while sponsoring a partner. PRs must be residing in Canada for duration of processing. If you leave Canada for an extended period and the visa officer becomes aware of this, they may feel you are no longer residing in Canada so would have grounds to cancel your application entirely.aap ki documents, work history waghera woh log ek hadd tak check karte hain...jab application LVO chali jaati ha to phir principal applicant ki detail, background, whereabouts waghera check horahe hotay hain..so agar sponsor kuch time k liye chala bhi jaaye to problem nahi hoti..coz aap ki eligibility yeh log start me hi check karlete hain..(you might got an eligibility email soon after you submitted your application)
LVO ko is se gharz nahi ha k sponsor abhi kia kar rhaa ha kahan gaya ha..LVO ko is se gharz ha k shadi genuine ha ya nahi
I am not saying permanently go to Pakistan, I said around 2 months... chaaho to kam karlo ... 1.5 karlo ... but this way, your frustration will be mitigated..atleast for 1.5 months...Only citizens can reside outside Canada while sponsoring a partner. You are certainly free to travel while PR app is processing, but just don't travel long enough to make it appear you're residing. There is no specific time allowed since it's all at discretion of a random visa officer. I would keep trips to a month maximum, but really it's up to you how much risk you want to take.
It's not a "theory" it's literary one of the few primary rules to being a sponsor: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-who.asp
Who can become a sponsor
You can become a sponsor if you are:
living in Canada:
-If you are a Canadian citizen living outside Canada, you must show that you plan to live in Canada when your sponsored relative becomes a permanent resident.
-You can’t sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside Canada

visa officers know that we are human beings...we love our spouses..so we can go to meet them..I dont know whether LVO asked more proofs from you or not..but they usually ask "why you did not go to meet your spouse when she was there?" I have seen several people who were asked this question from LVO..because its a natural tenancy that a man goes to meet his spouse if the marriage is genuine...Only citizens can reside outside Canada while sponsoring a partner. Is she currently living in Canada? What documents did they ask for?My sister-in-law is a PR of Canada and she has sponsored her husband. Few months back she received an email confirming her eligibility to be a sponsor, but just today her spouse received an email from LVO that his sponsor's case is not satisfactory and they're not satisfied that she's living in Canada or something and has asked them to provide some documents.
She is and she hasn't travelled anywhere ever since she filed this case.Is she currently living in Canada? What documents did they ask for?
