We received pre arrival letter on July 23, 2018 and my husband got his PPR on Aug 14, 2018. Hopefully it will be soon for you too. Wish you all the best.My Husband and I applied Oct 2nd, 2017.
File being processed since Dec 8th, 2017.
We just recieved Pre-Arrival Letter today.
Does anyone have an idea about the timeline. When did everyone else recieve pre-arrival letters and how long did it take for PPR after getting it
Thanks, any response will be helpful
They don't need original documents anymore we had also received our original nikah nama back. That was way ahead in the application process.Hi guys,
May 2017 applicant here. They asked for additional documents in May and we also recieved the pre arrival email shortly after. Nothing after that. Medical is also expired. Today the sponsor recieved the original nikah nama submitted with the application. Anyone else recieved their documents back? How long after that did you recieve any notifications?
You should call them and check it with them it’s more then two months now. Before calling them first check your junk email tooI am june 18. Almost 2 month now. Nothing received yet? Is it normal???
They make sure if the relationship is genuine or fake. What exactly do they check in eligibility?
Alright ! I guess they check the genuineness, from the photos, chats, other things that we provided to them with the application, correct ?They make sure if the relationship is genuine or fake.
In eligibility, they check whether the sponsor actually meets the requirements to sponsor his/her spouse. Like, is he a PR or Canadian National, working, paying taxes etc. What exactly do they check in eligibility?

You are saying partially correct as there are eligibility checks on both sponsor and principal applicant, the eligibility of the principal applicant means if he or she is Eligible to be sponsored under family class ( spousal sponsorship), that is done by checking the geniuses of the relationship. In eligibility, they check whether the sponsor actually meets the requirements to sponsor his/her spouse. Like, is he a PR or Canadian National, working, paying taxes etc.
Genuineness of marriage is a later step.
A person who is eligible to sponsor his/her wife may or may not be able to proof whether his/her marriage is genuine. If eligibility is passed, "Decision Made" begins mentioning under the "Sponsorship Application Status" heading in ECAS, when the sponsor checks the application status by putting his/her own information (rather than putting his/her principal applicant's information) in the portal.
So, checking eligibility is a different thing than checking the genuineness of marriage.
