You were called for an interview... But after that did you easily get your spouse visa? What reasons are you denied a visit visa? I'm asking so as to be cautious about that part in my visit visa interview.
So this is what happened. My wife (the applicant) applied for a visit visa back in 2014 to visit friends here. She was denied because they didn't believe she had strong enough ties to Pakistan. Even though she was enrolled in uni and all her family was in Pakistan. She wasn't interviewed or anything just straight up refusal. BTW this was before we had met so there was no wedding plans or anything, just a visit. Your case may be different (I don't really know much about visit visa process).
We had to mention this during our spousal visa application. She was called for an interview
probably mainly for this reason (that's all we saw in the notes). Interview went great and we got the visa approval in one week after the interview.
So yeah, I don't think the interview is a big problem if the rest of your case is strong, it just delays your process by a few months while you're waiting in the interview queue. If you're lucky you may not even get called for the interview. And if you're really lucky you may get the visit visa
Good luck!
