you are lucky Careless1 you applied in Aug 2013 and you are got through all major stages. I applied in Mar 2013 and still haven't heard back. No medical request no nothing...
this is really depressing

i am also march2013 applicant.no news yet.thats depressing and some sep2013 onwards applicants getting remed and ppr. :'(

Hello Hafsah,

Yes yes you can have great help here.
My wife went through interview as well. what is your case husband or wife?

There are only two reasons for the interview.
1) To assess whether relationship is genuine or not
2) Security reasons

in your case most likely reason is 1st one. take following things with you for interview.
1. proof of relationships (Nikah Nama, Family registration certificate, Registered Nikah Nama (Nadra)
2. Pictures from day you both met till last day you both spend together.
3. Phone bills showing call history
4. Skype, Viber logs
5. review all sponsor/Spouse questionnaire form already submitted.
6. Show you intentions how you will be an active Canadian i.e. your future plans if asked.

Answer every question precisely. not less not more.

Question: Do they count time from the point when your file was submitted (Mississauga) or when the corresponding vo received file? Thanks

My application was filed on - 13 nov 2013
Doc Received email on - 4dec 2013
Ecas status- changed to decision made on 18 dec 2013 and they sent a letter on 18 dec which they did mention in ecas but I never received that letter
Sponsorship approval by email..on 24 jan 2014

Decision made means You are approved as sponsor now. check your junk email. or call them on their toll free no. that what was the decision made. Is your ecas showing your spouse Permanent resident application received status??? that must show. if not. call CIC toll free no.

If it is showing your spouse name and Permanent residence application received then your file is transfer to LVO.

Yes for all new cases they count time from submission.
Interview is likely if Visa officer needs some clarification regarding the relationship. when proof of relationship is not sufficient. Nikah only cases. sponsor is new in Canada as well.

my father files our (of my mother along with 5 children) in may 2007.
at that time we all were underage, but now only my youngest brother is 17 year old and rest are above 20.

we had our first medical done in 2013.
now we received an interview call and 2nd medical is required during next 2 mnths.
we are not sure what they are going to do next, but just keeping the finger cross we are hoping for best.

That is not true, they clearly mention on CIC website that 11 month timeframe is after the completion of stage 1(sponsorship approval). So one should count 11 months time from the date London VO received their application.

You may be right but it will add only a month to it. as per my info. its from application received status. and PR application is received with sponsorship application.
