I called IRCC and they are still on the security check. We don't know how long that will take because external partners are used to verify information, and IRCC can only continue their work on the file when those partners get back to them. The good news is that it could finish at any time, meaning it could be soon (but I don't know and can't predict), and that we are still within normal processing times for these sorts of cases. We would come to the end of the expected window in mid-September of this year (but it could finish before then). I hope this information is helpful to you. I will continue to follow-up on this.

Some MPs are useless. My MP told me that we have until Oct 2017 so I should wait it out until then. Easier said than done.

Hi Friends,
After the interview i got a letter for medical. On the letters its written that provide evidence that i have done my medical with in 30 days. I got my medical done 2 days ago. Only thing i got from IOM Medical islamabad is receipt. IOM medical said they will send reports directly to cic. It is really confusing to me. Do i still have to send them the recipt or i am good?

U dont need to do anything. IOM will take care of everything

I stayed in uk for more than 5 years . I came back my home country in January 2017, i got married in march with canadian girl. I didn't file my application yet . I red the form that if anybody lived outside the country more than 6 months must provide the police clearance certificate. Unfortunately i was overstayed in uk bcoz my college has been revoked . Any one help me i am worried about it . Shell i apply for police clearance certificate in uk or not ? If i applied may be they mentioned criminal records on there bcoz i was overstayed in uk . My wife didn't apply yet for sponsorship.

This is a bit of a complicated case. u shud consult a lawyer for this.. Also while u do that please make sure u stay up to date about ur file and the entire process to avoid getting manhandled in the hands of the lawyers.

wmate did u check with the pakistani institution u worked for? have they received any request for clearance from IRCC? I have a very strong feeling the hold up is from pakistan end and not the canadian one.

If you get your police certificate from the UK it won't show your overstay or it won't highlight that issue. Unless you had a criminal record or charges of some sort in the UK only that will show on your police certificate. However, when you do apply for sponsorship you must include in your application that you did overstay in the UK and for how long. They will eventually find out, but it's your job to be honest otherwise it will be a bigger issue for you if you lie.
There are other members on this group who have also overstayed in the UK and they're application is being processed as well.

I hear you. I have been on it since before I event went to get married. I would've submitted in April but we found out that one of the forms changed in April (can't recall) and I didn't wanna risk it so I waited further. (Be careful with those eh, as you are still working through check the forms and such periodically via the "country specific requirements" process).

Trying to understand what's the hold up between DM and PPR. Received DM 18th May and crickets since then.

Average time between DM and PPR is 3.23 days, max is 39 days, median is 0 days. Assuming data is correct and the 0s are actually 0s.

My best guess is - their AI powered super computer crunched some algorithms (London Pilot Project) and randomly selected some cases to process faster and now they can't send PPRs as fast because now there is a backlog because of efficiency gains upstream of the PPR process.

I think they dont send all PPRs at once otherwise there will have to process passports faster (As if).

However, my MP told me that the app is approved.
