i have applied on 16my 2014 .. as an outland for my spouse .. when i check my uci sponsorship application status it says decision made..Huh what that means when i open it ... it says we sent u a letter on july 2014 abt the decision.. i have received anything

sharing application timeline wife case :

applied : july 2013
file transfer to islamabad : august 16 2013
CIC Current status : nothing there, looks like file not even opened yet and not in system.
is file in London ? : do not know


does any one know emailing them and inquiring would help?. i dont even know where the file is . after reading this forum it looks like the file should be in london?. any ideas?

My app was filed in may. I received approval in july. According to the pr app status on the cic website, the latest development with the case was 'Medical records received'. Does that also imply that my entire file has been transferred?

I applied to sponsor my wife on Mar 2014. I sent medical along with application. My wife received an email yesterday August 10, 2014 asking for a medical. The file was directly sent to London. I am confused because medical request is from Islamabad not from London even though current medical is still valid. Did any one else face similar situation? I am not sure whether I should be happy or worried?

Thanks Munir.

I just called and CIC agent told me that requesting medical even though current is still valid can happen and it is at the discretion of visa officer.

I asked him how does he explain Islamabad asking for a medical even though file was directly sent to London from Mississauga. He did not have an answer to that and told me to contact Islamabad.

I hope InshaAllah this is a good news, at least they start processing file and my wife will be here soon IA.

thanks i will, just a correction CIC shows status "File Received" when using File number to check it, entering UCI did not show anything. But that only tells when file was received by Mississauga office. nothing dont know where the file actually is....it should be london as no more files are being processed in islamabad. so disappointing, after paying crazy amount of money for processing all you get is no updates and delayed processing.

You can not sponsor you nieces, brothers, sisters, uncles etc

you can only sponsor your parents, wife, children.

CPC Mississauga has nothing to do with your case now. contact LVO for any communication. as far as meds are concerned it is normally from LVO. and its through email. double check the sending address. 2ndly book date for meds and shoot a Case specific enquiry to LVO about this medical request.

As I said the medical request is from Islamabad office not from London and this is what confusing me. What's interesting is that CIC status website show this:

1- We received xxxx xxxx's application for permanent residence on April 1, 2014.
2 - Medical results have been received.

I had my wife's medical done even before I filed her sponsorship, which is still valid. Anyways, I hope it is for good. Can you please send me email address of LVO?

As far as i know the applicant is issued application number first. the UCI is of the sponsoring person.
and untill your status changes to IN PROCESS it will remain the same.
yes it will be in london once you will get your notes everything will be cleared to you.
