Hi guys! New to the forum here.... I have been reading up on the sponsorship process and the timelines in the spreadsheet, etc. I am In sha Allah getting married in December and hope to apply for sponsorship asap in January. I just had a couple of questions:

1) My fiancée will be getting a passport for the first time this month since we plan to go for honeymoon. After marriage, will we need to get the passport and CNIC updated so that it includes the husband's name before we submit it with our application to CIC?
2) We will get police certificate, medical and all forms, etc completed by December. Is there anything else needed that can only be done after marriage?

Wish all the fellow people here a speedy timeline so that they are reunited with their spouses!

1. No you don't have to update passport or CNIC.
2. Nope just Nikah Namma and Translation.

Could someone please tell me how i can go about and ask my MP for updates regarding my file?

well a good news for me. Just received an email asking for "Right of permanent residence fee (RPRF)". Hopefully this is the last step

I was just looking at the spreadsheet and it says that your file was forwarded to Ottawa...is this correct?

Knew something was wrong! I removed the Ottawa part in your notes tab on the excel sheet.
