Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office
the good news is that they've started to become slightly more flexible over the past year as they process more and more pakistani spousal apps, so skipping this rasm altogether may no longer be a red flag. i for one didn't do it, so let's see if they raise any concerns over that.
i got what you were trying to say, and none of us are disagreeing with you, however my point remains: tell that to the visa officers at LVO, not us. the visa officers looking at our files have a rigid understanding of our religion and culture, and for some reason they've started to believe that holding a quran over the girl's head is not just a rasm, but also an islamic requirement.ciscoccie said:I think things are being confused. My point is specific to Quran only, if you want to do a milk, custard, pudding ritual go for it since it is no where mentioned in religion but could be a cultural thing however I request everyone not to disrespect Quran as this is Kalam Allah. Putting a Quran on the head of a girl while doing rukhsati is considered a disrespect towards Quran by a large number of scholars if not all, in short you are saying disrespect Quran because we need to please CIC and because of which I said Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return. It is a everyone rights to do what he believe is right.
