Spousal Sponsorship, Open Work Permit & Baby

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen and my husband is an American citizen. We had a baby born in April, 2017 in Canada. Our PR application with an open work permit was returned to us as we missed a portion of the application. We resubmitted the application in September. My husband has an extended visitor status until the end of December. We are wondering how long it typically takes for the OWP to be processed and what our options will be if it is not here by the end of December? Thank you for any advice!!

Hi, applying for an OWP grants your husband implied status so even if his OWP doesn’t come before the end of December, he will still be in status
