Hello all,
I've noticed on the Documents Checklist for the Sponsor, a Notice of Assessment of the most recent year is requested; or a reason why it is not included in its stead.
I've been living in England since April 2015, so I haven't done my Canadian taxes for 2015 as I only worked the first few months of the year and haven't seen the point in going through the trouble of sorting it out while I'm out of the country (especially as I don't have all my documents such as invoices, receipts, etc. with me.)
My question is: How important is it to include a Notice of Assessment with a Spousal Sponsorship application? In its place, would they accept an explanation from me, telling them I've been living abroad (which they do already know from elsewhere in the application, of course)?
Many thanks!
