Hello,

First of all, thank you all for the valuable input. Secondly, I posted the enquiry below in the main Spousal sponsorship thread but it slipped through the cracks :

I have a question ... I see that as per the new checklist 5533, they ask for the "Notice of Assessment or an equivalent document, issued by Canada Revenue Agency".

How come they didn't ask for "Option C" which in my experience has been always the detailed document to establish income support ? I do have access to both ... which one should I attach ?

Given that the new checklist specifically asks for the Notice of Assessment, I would attach that, plus the Option C if you have access to it and want to provide additional documentation.

Up until December they explicitly asked for NoA or Option C. So, given that Option C would be likely enough (considering for spousal sponsorship's, they are income assessment exempted). You can also attach that, and offer to submit NoA when it becomes available...
