No worries! thanks for answering. The reason i asked was because I stay almost 4 months with my husband but I have to return to Canada tomorrow and I was worried about the time that I stayed away and all that. I asked my consultant like how long can I stay away from Canada while the application is in process but he never reply to me and I decided to stay! and your posts help me to stay calm! I'll Bug the lawyer once i am in Canada.

Typically the interviewer informs you at the end of a successful interview that how long you have to wait for their response!

There is no fixed timeline for that and time varies from case to case. You may collect your GCMS notes to get the latest status.

Thank you for your response. At the interview she was told she would be contacted within 3 weeks which she was, was told to do her medical we just haven't heard back anything since. Notes have been requested since 2 weeks now. Hopefully soon

Has anyone had an interview then medical request then be refused ? Or does request for medical after interview pretty much mean you passed the interview and waiting background check ?

for me it took 2 months around to hear a PPR from VO after interview. it varies to diff visa offices.

"Background check in progress" means good sign ??? all positive ???? except security and criminality ???
