The wife and I are gathering information. I am not close to my aunts and uncles at all. I barely know their names and I have not spent much time with them especially after my mother passed away. As a result, I don't or can't really give my wife much details about them.

This is obviously one of the questions they will ask? Should we tell the truth and say we don't really talk about them? Or should I get their names, pictures and make my wife (and me) memorize them?

Yes, we got a package with the letter. However, not everything was returned. Mostly pictures were returned. And no other information from SVO since.

FYI, we just received the interview convocation letter informing of our interview date, October 18, 2016. Can't believe they turned this around so quick.


I hope and pray for those who are waiting (specifically, Jupiter and ImABule) that they get similar news ASAP!!!!

Hello Jupiter,

I want to clear one thing that interview depends only visa office decision. It doesn’t matter if visa office did not return your documents. In my case visa office return my all documents with the interview query letter. After 18 month later I faced my interview.

I think you should send your marriage proof to the visa office but you should not send the same marriage proof what you submit with your application. You can send your current marriage proof to the visa office.

Congrats!

It is actually not required to send eMedical receipt but no harm. I emailed SVO a copy of the proof as well as submitted the same through case specific inquiry on CIC website.

I typically use websites like Expedia to find out the costs of various flights and airlines. Then I check the airline's website to confirm prices and book through a travel agent or directly from the airline.

I have booked through travel websites (Expedia) directly but there are rules about changes and cancellation that can be pretty pricey. So not very flexible through travel websites.
