The doctor asked me whether I have any medical condition or any surgery before. She also asked me whether I had TB before. As I have diabetes, I told her. Also she wanted to know what medicines I am taking. That's it. Yes it doesn't matter whether your wife had TB before but the most important thing is to let the doctor know it. No worries...

Hasan
Hey hasan
In Canada TB is a big deal. Anyone had TB usually go through the process and its pretty much 95% sure. I saw in a forum that someone had TB 15 years ago and was still asked to do that test which takes 2 months lol. She even knows that chance are like 95% they will ask that extra test just to confirm from their end. Lets just hope they don't make big deal about it since my wife took an x-ray and she saw that the shadow is very minimum. Problem is that when she declares she had TB and embassy will see that then right way they might ask. waiting another 2 months which doesn't matter because I am coming in September and she would wait til September anyways. But thanks to you and Farhana for sharing the experience about the clinic even though its not forum page for that topic lol.

What is TB medical surveillance?

TB medical surveillance is medical follow-up for a person who is newly arrived in Canada to check that they do not have active TB disease.
When you apply to come to Canada for 6 months or more, to live, work, or visit, you have to complete a medical exam. The immigration medical examination (IME) is reviewed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to check for many illnesses including TB.

If you are found to be well but have a history of TB or possible inactive TB infection, you will be allowed to come to Canada. You will need to complete medical surveillance once you arrive.

If you are found to have active TB disease on the immigration medical exam, you must be treated before being allowed to enter Canada. You will also need to complete medical surveillance once you arrive.

Those who are placed on medical surveillance will be given instructions by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to report to their local public health unit. They will be given a Medical Surveillance Undertaking form (IMM 535) or mailed an In-Canada Public Health Follow-up letter.

Hey Farhana
I know this already. This will happen regardless you have Active TB or Inactive TB. The problem is the chest X-ray. Those people who even never had TB but shows an abnormal x-ray will go for the test. If you tell the doctor that you had TB before and after looking at the x-ray they still have a doubt then CIC will make you do the test and then once you arrive u go for the surveillance. I actually called the 2 doctors in Bangladesh and spoke to them. They told me that as long as my wife's X-ray doesn't concern them then no need to do the test but if it does concern even though the treatment was done, they will ask you to do the test. They also told me that sometimes they give green clearance from their end but when immigration sees past history of TB they still make you do the test just to be on the safe side to make sure it didn't become active again. After all these you also have to go for surveillance once you reach here. Read this and its form CIC website

Chest x-rays are examined by a local radiologist in the country of origin.
CIC, in consultation with Canadian TB specialists, assesses chest x-rays for characteristics of active TB disease or “inactive” infection.

CIC identifies “old healed” or “inactive”1 pulmonary TB as follows:
A.history of treated active TB and/or

B. Abnormal chest x-ray suggestive of TB and

i) two chest x-rays taken at an interval of three months apart with stable appearance and three negative sputum smears (this test takes 2 months to complete) and cultures;
or
ii) Two chest x-rays taken at an interval of six months apart with stable appearance. This is for who cant provide 3 negative sputum smears.

Applicants identified as having inactive pulmonary TB
are permitted to enter Canada but are placed under medical surveillance and referred to provincial/territorial public health authorities to report for post-landing surveillance within 30 days of arrival

Hello juwelsingh,

I would like to inform you the most important thing you need to UK police clearance. I see you write that you live in UK 6 years. If anyone stays any country more than 6 month he or she needs that country police clearance. So you need to UK police clearance, Bangladesh police clearance and also Malaysia police clearance. So right now collect all this police clearance. You need to bring you police clearance in your interview. If you fail to bring your police clearance when you pass your interview the visa office required your 3 country police clearance. So it is wise to bring those police clearance with you in the interview day.

Sorry brother I over looks your UK matter and gives you wrong information. Now what I tell you there is no confusion about this matter. This 3 police clearance you must submit your immigration visa purpose.

Hope it will help

Farhana

Hi! I have a question on sponsor eligibility. It says "You may not sponsor until you repay the full amount of any social assistance or welfare payment or repay the debt to the satisfaction of the government authority that issued the benefit or ordered you to pay." Does it cover government loan for business? He applied for government loan to fund his business. Is he still eligible to sponsor? Thanks!

This is the basic question and there are many questions you find here. Do mock test to each other. Be preparing for cross check with your wife, your parents, and your in-laws. If you prepare well you can do well in your interview. I really wish all the best.

Never ever change your question answer in front of the immigration officer. The officer may be tried to confuse you. All the time try to behave very clam and gentle with them. Don’t take anything personally. Say Yes, no, Sorry, Thank you it depends on situation. If you do not understand any question say ---------- I don’t understand, repeat it again please. Doesn’t talk with them in informal English all the time speak with them formal English? Your body language is very important. Make eye contact with the immigration officer. If the officer want to confuse you and you know it is not your part of application information then defeat them in a very gentle way.

The important documents----------
1. Money transfer receipt

2. Your skype screen shot

3. Viber call list

4. WhatsApp call list

5. If you have join bank account

6. Picture ( both parents picture with you and sponsor, your picture with your sponsor in different place not same place picture)

7. Your gift card, if she write any letter from Canada

8. Your Email

Interview letter required some documents. You must carry those documents. Remember they want your past 12 month documents but you try to carry your all documents. In my interview day I carry past 25 months skype screen shot, my viber call list, my hangs out call list. I carried 26 month money transfer receipt. Each and every thing is important for your interview. You don’t know which documents the officer wants to see.

My advice to you in your interview day just think it is your life story, you know your story better than immigration officer. They question you but you are the person who knows the all.

Before my interview I was in a very bad situation, my position is like scary cat. Before my interview two days I think it is my interview and the officer just ask me my story why I feel scare. When I reached the interview room I look my immigration officer and think I will not scare at any situation just listen her question and try to answer the best, I don’t want to impress my immigration officer I just want to answer my question answer the best way. If I do it , I can overcome situation.

Hope it will help you

Regards

Farhana

Hi there,

If you apply common sense, Govt. loan for business doesn't fall under social assistance. Please check the related thread for confirmation.

1.If I am a homemaker or have no job, am I still eligible to sponsor my husband/wife?

Ans: Yes you can as there is no income requirement for Spouse sponsorship but you will have to provide for the spouse and support them for 3 years as per your sponsorship agreement so you should be able to do that.

Yes you can and as of January 2015 there is no income required to sponsor your spouse, however i think if you are on social assistance/welfare qualifies you to sponsor your spouse.
