Yes just google your local area federal MP and visit/contact with UCI/ file number to request a current status from CIC. Family reunion is a priority policy of Justin Government and they will expedite getting a quick response.

Good luck!

Hello,

My husband got an email saying that he has a new message on his MyCIC account. There he had a PDF copy where the asked him to submit his passport and 2 recent passport size photos within 30 days. and on the top of the letter, it says URGENT in Red Color as his med is expiring soon. does this mean everything is good after the interview?
On the letter, it also says,

"Note: This letter is
not a guarantee that a visa will be issued to you." . should I worry?

Also,
they have not mentioned anything like "Decision Made" or "Approved". On the MyCIC status, under interview now it says "COMPLETED" And under Review of Additional documents, it says to submit the required items in the message below for further processing. They also have a box bellow, where the heading is, "SUBMITTED DOCUMENTS" and there it asks to upload files for 1) Passport and 2) Digital Photos.

So do we send the passports and photos or we upload them or do we do both? can anyone please help. Thank you.

hI VAIA .. CAN U TELL ME WHAT IS THE ADDRESS FOR SVO TO SEND ADDITIONAL DOCS THEY ASK FOR INTERVIEW ? .. OR IS IT THROUGH THE IRCC WEBFORM .. I THINK I WILL TRY DOING THAT .. AS UM IN CANADA AND UM A STUDENT ..SO LETS GIVE THEM THE DOCS AND ASK FOR A WAIVE .. I CAN DO THAT RIGHT ?
Hi,

Please don't email Mr.Richter unless you're 100% confident that your interview can be waived after seeing relationship proofs you have sent and being sent.

Someone got interview waiver by writing an email to Mr.Richter. I called that email as 'magic email'! Old posts in this thread discussed this matter elaborately. I'm not sure whether this gentleman is still posted there..Please check before sending correspondence. The letter should be written very professionally highlighting why you think that the interview isn't necessary.

Additional proofs may be emailed to SVO's regular email addresses as appended below. Write a nice concise cover letter mentioning applicant's UCI number and file number. Also in a professional manner.

Good luck.

Hasan

What kind of questions you guys mismatched the answers? What was the body language of your interviewer at the end of the interview? Did they ask submit updated forms?

Hi everyone, new user here.
I hope you guys can help me out.

I am in Canada right now. I came with my husband just to submit my OVERSEA's spousal application and study permit.

At the airport, the Border Officer never asked me for the reason behind my visit.
All I was asked was how long I plan to be in Canada.

Recently, my study permit was refused due to credibility.
Immigration Officer said I was not truthful when I came to Canada.
They said I should have told Border Services I planned to study in Canada.

However, I didn't know I had to tell the Border Officer every detail about my stay in Canada.
I honestly thought I had to answer their questions and nothing more.

Was I supposed to tell the Border Officer that I planned to apply for a study permit and spousal sponsorship?
Canada's immigration system is more methodical compared to other countries. It was implied without notification from your side that you would return back to your country of origin as a regular visitor after certain time period. So when you applied for study permit, it got all mixed up. Please consult with an experienced lawyer. If officially entered in Canada as an international student, Canada's immigration is most generous to accord PR status after completion of study. But now it is really tough time for you to get approved. The best thing would be return back, try for spousal immigration by sending a nicely compiled application package.

Hi Hasan, Thanks for your reply back to my question. I really appreciate your assistance.
I really want to continue my studies. I already missed one year and I can't return back to my original university. I met all the conditions of the Canadian university, and my program is not the easiest to get into. If I wait for sponsorship then it will be another year wasted.

Can you please offer me suggestions on how to write a strong letter to get my study permit accepted?
So far, I requested my CAIPS notes. I will look into getting a lawyer.

Do you think the MP for my husband's area will help me? My husband is a Canadian citizen. If yes, do you have any suggestions on how I can get a letter from them?

Thanks again, R

No need.

Just send PP and whatever they asked. You're done.

If you're not from a visa exempt country, unfortunately they won't allow you to change the status for study permit. That's very unlikely specially when you have a strong ties in Canada. Spousal sponsorship is obviously your best bet. Life is not always fair.

Having said that you could always check back with a very good lawyer who knows exactly what you may expect. Most lawyers are extremely commercial and doesn't care about their clients in terms of future uncertainties and huge legal costs for no eventual positive results. I'm one of those victims.

Look it's all about genuineness of the marriage and they want to see that no marriage of convenience is taking place to obtain Canadian PR through fake spousal sponsorship. I think the overall interview was not too bad. More likely you will get a positive result soon. Wait for couple of days.

Good luck!
