Thanks. Yes it is a spousal interview.I am the sponsor and have been accepted to be. The wedding date is after the interview. I was just wondering what to say when my fiancee and I show up at the interview without being married. I know it is not going to be good but we have no choice a this point. All because a delay in getting a single document stamped. I am just hoping that I can explain it properly to the interview officer and have the wedding certificate/photos details the following week to submit. I am Canadian and my fiancee is Colombian and we are in Colombia now. The appointment is at the Canadian embassy in Bogota. I am staying in Colombia another month and hoping that I can submit the wedding documents within this period. I just hope the interview officer can understand my situation and perhaps continue the interview after we're married and before I leave for Canada.

Hello ImBlue,

I have a confusion. What you mean by"include the time from when you applied to when your interview is"? Where to include?

Well they ask for all updated forms, so the background form that asks your activities, work etc will only be up until the time you filed. So when you refill that form include the time frame from then until now in the background info.

Hi Patrick,

Have you submitted your spousal sponsorship application as a common law partner? If not, in that case you are not yet married with your girl friend or future wife! I'm a bit confused...

Hi jupiter16,

They will take updated forms, not previous forms which you have submitted originally. I suggest you may Keep copies of old forms handy in a separate folder.

Yes you can show that currently you are unemployed but not on welfare and you are trying hard to find out a suitable work. You may take communication evidences with your prospective employers or some evidences that you are seriously looking for a suitable job opportunity.

Good luck!

Hello Jupiter16,

It's okey then...if you explain nicely....no worries!

Red flags may or may not be mentioned but you should know why they schedule an interview.....

If they have some questions or concerns on anything about the application, they may schedule an interview. So if you can properly explain, they will approve your file immediately. Go with full preparation. Be positive and confident.

Good luck!

Hasan
