An extra question for those who had interviews. What is the dress code?
- Wear a suit?
- Business casual?
- And I don't think anything below business casual would be acceptable.

I think for mens, wearing formal well pressed official dress like light or white colour full sleeve shirt, black or navy blue trouser, formal polished black shoe will be a good choice.

That's fine too! I wanted to suggest suits if someone is comfortable! Mens look more smart in suits (though I hardly wear! LOL !

i worry that she told me my spouse work only two days in a week , how she survive

The officer did not take my IMM-0008 (Generic Application Form) like you. You will very soon get your re- medical if it is not expiring. Really I am so happy that you face not tough interview.

To me it is very normal question and don’t worry about it. It is time to enjoy and get ready to buy your ticket and shopping.

A man should wear formal dress for his interview like light colour formal shirt and pant .Woman should wear formal dress too. In my interview day I choose Bengali formal dress.

Congratulation and hope you are well in Canada with your wife. You need to wait 4 years for apply your Canadian Citizenship because the law is not change still it is 4 years for citizenship. You can apply your parents but you have to show your income and I really don’t know the income amount. Your wife can not sponsor your parents only you can sponsor your parents.

Don't worry! You are approved as per your interview description .....just wait 4-6 weeks.

The wife can co sign to boost income. However, you have to meet the minimum income for 3 consecutive years.

Also total income amount depends on your family size inclusive of the (to be) sponsored persons. After showing minimum income for three consecutive years, eligible sponsor can apply on the fourth year.

Hello Hasan,

I mean Salwar kamiz not saree. It is totally my opinion because I think it is better for you interview to wear a formal Bangladeshi dress for women. In the interview get up and looks are very important for all applicants. I mention salwar kamiz because immigration officer sometime question very strange. In my case the officer doubt me why I made first conduct with my husband and later the officer told me about my culture. I wear salwar kamiz in my interview day the only reason I don’t want to feel the officer I am over smart or my dress is not match with my culture.

2nd child togather , do you think my wife should send Pregnancy test report to CIC , i am very excited i also told
to immigration officer during interview that maybe my wife is pregnant but at that time we didnt do the test .
please advise , you think we should inform to CIC

Hi there,

Sorry for late response. I checked your PM (private message) in my inbox. I'm sorry that your husband got interview letter three months back and you are worried what made CIC to decide for the interview. You have also engaged a Toronto lawyer who is not helping you much to address your worries and concerns. Please read the stories here in this thread and you will understand many things on your own. Most of the members here are very helpful. You said you are not very good in writing English but you know what it doesn't matter just try to express yourself and people will understand what you intend to mean. Right now I'm in Bangladesh and some people here also living in GTA like you and you may eventually talk to them over phone as you wished to discuss about your file.

My few suggestions are:

1) Don't worry about the interview date. They will inform you well in advance at least one month prior to the actual interview date.
2) Collect GCMS notes immediately on your file. You will get this note within 30 days and you will know present status of your file in your notes. You will most probably know the exact reasons why SVO has decided to place your spouse in interview.
3) Please ask your spouse to prepare well for the interview. Let him study this thread as and when possible. If any questions please ask in this forum. You will get immediate feedback. People are here to help you as much as possible.

You have to inform CIC about change in family size. As your wife is in Canada your second child will be born in Canada. But isn't it too early to inform them?
