Hello,
Me and my spouse got married Jan.19,2017(we are just waiting for our marriage certificate). She got her PR in the same month, she didn't declare me during her PR processing because we are not aware about sponsorship programs and because we are a same sex couples( honestly,in our country they are not acknowledging this kind of relationship) we've been in a relationship since 2012, we started as a Temporary Foreign Worker here in Canada and we lived in one address since 2015. During her PR application I also have some application in line, but all of a sudden, the pointing system in express entry changed and I can no longer reach the points per draw in EE, so we decided to get married. So i was screwed, and so her agent advised us that my spouse can sponsor me. My questions are:
1. If we push through Sponsorship Are we going to encounter problems for not declaring about our relationship during her PR application?
2. What are the proofs we need to provide?
3. What are the documents we need to collect?
Please guide me. thanks folks..
HiHello people... March 2017 applicant here, no correspondence since March this year, status is still on background check. Any March applicant still waiting?
Thanks for the update hopefully this will make my wife not so Nervous on TuesdayHey guys! Thank you so much for your supports! All of you not only supported me to complete my application well but also encouraged my patience in deed. I found myself so lucky to know this thread as we are here to support each other sincerely... I know lots of people here are still waiting to be PRs but I believe that all of you will get it eventually. You just need to be patience...
So I became a PR since yesterday! The immigration officer just asked me 2 questions:
- In the next 2 months, have I had a plan to go out of Canada? => I said No because I don't want them to delay releasing my PR card.
- If I involved to any criminals? => 1000% NO.
That's it, and then he asked to see my husband's driving licence.
@Canada 321: I hope this helps you. Good luck, you will have it soon!
There is nothing to be nervous, really! Good luck guys! Thanks for the update hopefully this will make my wife not so Nervous on Tuesday
Let us know what ll happen !Thanks for the update hopefully this will make my wife not so Nervous on Tuesday
No, it would not delay the PR card. But if you would say that you plan to travel before getting you PR card, they would tell you that you will need to apply for a PRTD (permanent resident travel document). Thanks indeed for your help all.
Why would it delay the PR card if you need to travel in the next 2 month after landing? Maybe they will keep the ETA valid if they know instead of having to re-enter by land. Please comment.
Thanks again.
